Marz grinned when he saw Jade holding Erlic's hand as she led him toward the campfire. His sensai wore an uncommon smile upon his face and that could only mean one thing; he must be feeling quite happy about something. Marz got the distinct impression that Jade was the source of the man's contentment. The ex-gang leader often wished that his teacher would find a companion, who could get his mind on something other than meditation and speaking in parables. Erlic needed to loosen up a little and have more fun before he got too damn old to enjoy himself. Maybe Jade would be the one to jumpstart what Marz viewed as, Erlic's rather dull sex life!

He continued to grin as he watched the couple sit and help themselves to java. Before he could tease them about how cute they looked together, Jade turned her green eyes on him and asked if they could speak in private. Trying to hide his surprise, Marz nodded then squeezed Tristan's hand before getting to his feet. He followed the beautifully curvaceous, bald headed Jade to a spot a short distance away from the others.

"I need to ask you to keep an eye out for something for me when you explore your temple," she said softly. "And if you could, keep it for me if you find it."

Marz let his eyes roam along her face for a moment, wondering why she felt the need for secrecy. Since he kept plenty of secrets in his lifetime, he decided there was nothing wrong with her not wanting to share certain things with the others. "Sure, no problem," he said, crossing his arms over his chest as his dark eyes bore into hers. "What exactly am I looking for?"
