Subject: Glenn Beck's Rallies for America

I think it's really sad that liberal papers are trying to make Glenn Beck's rallies into something sinister. That is so absurd. It's pretty obvious that they are pro-America/pro-troop rallies, intended to make us stand together as Americans in support of our American troops over in Iraq. How is it possible that they could be misconstued as anything else? I think the liberals themselves always have ulterior motives, so they think conservatives must have ulterior motives too, when in fact, we simply love our country, love our president, and love our troops who went over there to stop Saddam Hussein from defying us and the U.N., and in turn, we liberated the Iraqi people. Yeah Glenn!!!! You did a good thing and please don't let the liberals affect you at all. You are a true American and I'm proud of the great things you did for our troops and our country. I doff my hat to you.

My dear Sharon, what you may be missing, is that Liberal media you keep referring to,is not actually liberal..it is a media that is simply trying to provoke a thought. The pablum the Conservative (not so fair & balanced) press & talking heads make you believe that it is unpatriotic to disagree with them... I agree the leftists do gotoo far-left, and as a moderate-liberal, that annoys me too. Conservatives would poo poo me for being a moderate because
A) I don't tow their line B) As far as they are concerned, we (I) can't make up our minds.

Which is far from the truth, I am a thinking person. I don't want people telling me what they think I want to hear. I want to be challenged in thought.

Beck, I believe, does a good job of presenting a different , entertaining spin on events. And while the war in the end, was justified, I still question the motives the administration took.. Was it really about WMS?? Was it really about Saddam? Is it not patriotic to question those motives? I think not. In that respect, it makes you then think critically, that perhaps a ground war, was never really necessary?...Why not have invested in a covert operation to take saddam out?...

So, Sharon, theese are really entertaining talking heads, that are telling you what you want to hear... We need less of that.

More important is that Beck keeps making up bigger and bigger numbers of people at these rallies. He said there were more than 12,000 at Valley Forge - that is hooey!! 4,000 at best which is still pretty impressive.

as a marine infantry veteran, i am always amused by people like glenn dreck and rush limburger (spelling in both cases, intentional) who wave the flag and wrap themselves in it, but lack to cojones to actually serve our country in the military. they impugn thinking people who rightfully question or criticize our country's policies and actions. those of us who ducked bullets defending that flag, earned the right to criticize.

Very true Larry. Another reason that I state, Beck is a fake.

144th Signal Battalion, 4th Armored Division, 1965-1967, Germany. Initial orders had me going to Viet Nam, was pulled aside, along with 25 others. We all had Top Secret Clearances and the same MOS, Crypto.
