Subject: State of the Station (is NOT strong)

I tuned in to the area's only news-talk station (WPHT) last night to hear some reaction and commentary on the State of the Union address, as we move closer to a likely foreign war. What was on? The end of a 76ers game, followed by Bill O'Reilly on ten hour tape-delay. Nice going 'PHT! Way to keep the talk radio medium vital and relevant!

It's a damn shame. Do they really think anyone is listening to O'Reilly on a 10 hour delay? I can't stand listening to him at anytime. I guess they feel we don't count in this area. After all, Pennsylvania elected Rendell (new taxes folks) and New Jersey elected Lautenberg. Biden is still being elected in Delaware.

Plus, they still have to pay the cost of Imus and Beck. This Beck character is a "pant load", if there every was one. What a waste of air time.

I have a feeling that WPHT will go the way of MSNBC. Self destruct from poor management decisions. I now listen very little to WPHT. They should have it made in this area. But, they don't pay attention to what the listeners want to hear.

I still would like to see the ratings for Beck's show. Must be a Top Secret Document.

They did not even carry the speech. Pretty sad. Then, no reaction at all until the next day. Even then, instead of any real insight we got YET ANOTHER rehash of the YES came and played in my back yard story. Pathetic.
