The Superradio I is supposed to be identical in performance to the easier-to-find (on e-bay) Superradio II, which is superior to the Superradio III on FM and just a tad better on AM than the III. I own several IIs, the III and an original C.Crane. As I mentioned on the radio page, I was disappointed with the C.Crane. For the money, it should have been much better. I don't notice the signal drift problem that Surf apparently has with his Superradio (III?). The Superradio III with a Select-A-Tenna or C.Crane's Justice antenna generally slightly outperformed the C.Crane similarly equipped. But the C. Crane's local AM overload problem is a big one for me as I live close to several of the region's AM sticks (KYW, WFIL, WZZD, WNAP). As mentioned, the Superradio excels in rejecting the strong AMs. Maybe the new C. Crane has solved the problems of the original. But I'm not going to gamble another $160 to find out, thank you. I'll put that money toward a Kiwa loop.
