Blitz, you should follow your own advice, Vince and Grinch are bother correct. Egyptian and the Assyrian societies predated the classic Roman era by a couple thousand years. The truth is THEY ALL USED SLAVE LABOR! So if one did it before the other is not the point here. The point is that slavery didn't begin with Europeans in the exapnsion to the New World. I think you're kinda proving my point, actually. The concept of slavery seems almost instinctive in mankind, and it's an instinct that we as a species are still trying to overcome.
