Subject: The Jayna Davis / Oklahoma City story “was widely discredited”???

Check it out:

The investigation was widely discredited by all other local TV stations, newspapers and the government. One of the lead reporters on the story’s contract was not renewed (Jayna Davis) and the other reporter (Brad Edwards) distanced himself from the investigation.”

Rex Grande wrote:
“The other two network affiliates (KWTV and KOCO) ran stories about the KFOR story and interviews with the guy from Iraq that Jayne Davis and Brad Edwards were following around. He sued KFOR. I saw an FBI spokesman come on at least one of these other stations and say the story had no credibility. Buck Revell has discredited all alternative theories on cable news. The Oklahoma Gazette ran story and a political cartoon that discredited her. She was vilified for causing additional trauma to the victims.

In October 1995 I had the opportunity to do some contract work with Janya Davis on the story and she told me about some of their theories, including parts that weren’t aired, at least at the time. Later I went to work at KWTV for five years and then worked at KFOR for a year until March of this year. Brad Edwards, still at KFOR, acts like he never heard of Jayna Davis. He does consumer reports, like before the bombing. People forget over time, but I recently saw a VHS copy of some of the reports and he was heavily involved with her and the alternate Muslim terrorist theory. (The brown pickup truck, multiple occupants of the Ryder truck, etc.)”

I'm sure Surf has an interesting response.

Replies:

[> I would politey say that he has his facts incomplete and/or wrong.
1 - John Doe #2 denied his involvement on other TV stations and his alibi was shot down
1 - He sued Jayna and LOST
3 - The FBI refused her sworn statements until after the trial then lost them, they never investigated the case
4 - Jayna has the audio of the APB on the pickup truck
anything else?

[> [> Great background information Hank thanks. It was sad to hear somebody with such a long history in law enfrocement refuse to answer a single question put to him like ...
The scetch of John Doe #2 - He tells an unlrelated story about some guy.
The terrorist cell in Oklahoma City? - he says, "Lots of Middle Eastern people live in the U.S.
and on and on, it was shameful. We actually PAID this guy? he didn't even knick her story.

November 2, 2002 OKC BOMBING FALLOUT - Reporter stands by allegations
Jayna Davis rebuts critic, says evidence shows Iraq involved in attack

By Jon Dougherty - © 2002 WorldNetDaily.com
A former Oklahoma City investigative reporter is standing by her assertion that Iraq had a hand in the OKC bombing seven years ago, despite recent criticism by a former investigator who assisted in the appeal of bomber Timothy McVeigh's conviction.

[> I would like to see Jayna give her evidence to Gerald Posner (www.posner.com). Posner’s book titled Case Closed conclusively proved that Oswald killed JFK (and yes, he acted alone). If Jayna can convince him, I will be convinced. Click for what others say: -- Mike D., 12:08:27 11/04/02 Mon

John Martin of ABC News says "Gerald Posner is one of the most resourceful investigators I have encountered in thirty years of journalism." Garry Wills calls Posner "a superb investigative reporter," while the Los Angeles Times dubs him "a classic-style investigative journalist." "His work is painstakingly honest journalism" concluded The Washington Post. The New York Times lauded his "exhaustive research techniques" and The Boston Globe determined Posner is "an investigative journalist whose work is marked by his thorough and meticulous research."
