Subject: I love radio ! But there are other types of radio besides commercial b'cast, FYI. more

I own 3 Bose Waves, a CC Crane radio, and old Johnson 323 SSB 11 meter rig to "shoot skip" when the conditions are right, an old Yaesu FRG-7 shortwave receiver hooked up to a multi-band dipole I built myself. I still own the same Heathkit AM/FM tuner I built in high school. I used to have a Novice class amateur operator's ticket. Does that qualify as loving radio? It's the listeners that I detest who don't grasp simple concepts, such as that broadcast commercial radio is first and always a for-profit business and not an altruistic social entitlement.
