Subject: West Chester Radio Obscenity

On Monday, July 21, a newscaster on West Chester radio station WCHE used the phrase “f*** you” while referring to the Kobe Bryant incident.

Even though the young woman apologized for saying a word she noted “might offend some,” the fact that the station was not using a 7 second delay is inexcusable! They have a new one and never use it because of all the technical problems it creates for them.

David Shurr, the owner of the station and host of the morning show told her to "watch her language" and allowed her to continue on-air. It's this kind of irresponsible broadcasting that's helping to kill local radio faster than Clear Channel or Viacom ever could!

He couldn't hear callers and it appeared to me that he didn't even know how to get calls on the show. The host was yelling, tons of feedback. It was the worst radio show I've ever heard.
