  • Of course we will. Do you seriously think that DW would stop recruiting? We have four more scholarship players coming in next year, including the highly rated Chris Bethel and a transfer from BC. We may have another Big East transfer coming in too (Quezada) and will have two more scholarships to give the following year. Why would DW stop with what he has now?       • The heavy use of the freshmen this past season was out of necessity. The new players will get some time, with Bethel stepping in as a contributor right away and Phillips and Devine playing in key support roles. Evertson will also play and will contribute. Remember, DW likes to play 10 guys and run and press most of the entire game. This has helped recruiting as every prospect knows thay have a very good chance for playing time.   • Bethel and Sebastion Greene will be looked to for upgrading our production at the wing, and Bethel will also get his share of rebounds. On Stout, if you watch him carefully, he does more than catch and shoot. He has a jump-stop move with a 6-10 footer that is pretty deadly and can dribble penetrate pretty well but needs to do it more. I might be wrong, but I don't think Dunston will go pro until he graduates unless his outside shooting improves dramatically. (NT) -- Rambacker, Mon April 18, 2005 10:09:02

      • Quezada will have to sit out a year. Turnovers were perhaps our biggest problem as a team, and to take the next step this coming season, we must cut down on turnovers and improve our free throw shooting, along with making our outside shooters more consistent. Plus Kevin Anderson will be shooting 500-100 shots a day over the summer. I believe Dunston is closer to 6' 8", so he will need to further develop his outside shooting. He's a hard worker and extremely competitive, so he will improve each year. He takes great pride in developing as a complete player. I agree with you about Jermaine Anderson - he's turned himself into a good A-10 player and worked his way through a tough transition between two coaches.   • I'll have to agree with RB on this one. BD will finish his four years at Rose Hill, improved outside shooting or no, growin' stronger and smarter, along the way. Dunston is a solid middle class kid from Lefrak City, Queens. His family has middle class values. His family values education, and, while not financially independent, are, like most of us, in a financially comfortable and stable situation. He's not a ghetto kid, with a basketbal jones, livin' in the projects, totally entranced by the allure of the NBA. After graduation, it just might be an MBA, over the NBA.
