But those parks still have close to their original design - Yankee Stadium was ripped apart and changed drastically in the early 70's. Agreed. I'm just old enough to remember watching games on TV in the old stadium and attended a Giants football game. While they've done a nice job of enhancing the place w/ Momument Park, the current stadium doesn't have nearly the atmosphere of the original stadium. I liked what I saw in the News and the addition of a Metro North station and addition dock space for ferries is a big plus. - Seems to me that most of the people who don't want to lose the current Yankee Stadium don't remember the old stadium. Those of us who remember the old stadium feel that the stadium has already been defiled, so what's the big deal.
