just a glowing article. good to hear this about a kid we didnt know much about. plays better against big men, tight relationship with his uncle who is a college coach, went prep to improve his game-not his grades, buying into whit's program already, sounds like he is a player, etc. i would ordinarily be skeptical but now what we know about whit's recruits this is what i have come to expect. -- Fordham Rams Basketball Message Board

Phillips is a classic example of DW finding a potential jewel under a rock. He was almost completely under the radar. Needs development but is a great kid, great student and will work very hard to be a good player.
