Subject: UTEP and Tulsa were in the original Southwest Conference? I don't think so. And this year's Conf. USA was essentially an all-sports league with Charlotte, DePaul and Marquette as non-football exceptions. The bottom line is Conf. USA will be a lower ranked basketball conference than it was.
In reply to: DFW HOYA 's message, "Conference USA has essentially become two leagues: a reformed Southwest Conference (SMU, Rice, Houston, UTEP, Tulsa, and Tulane), and the southern independents (Memphis, UAB, Marshall, UCF, ECU, Southern Miss.) The changes also create an all-sports league which will help them down the road.**" on Mon April 04, 2005 22:18:58
