I don't know who Jasper Morgan is, but it is the position of most scholars that the prophesies are not authentic. Although attributed to Malachy, the prophesies did not appear for 400 years or so after his death. The prophesies are far more specific for the popes who reigned during that 400-year period. The prophesies for the popes who followed are vague -- like reading a horoscope. But everytime a new pope is elected, the press starts talking about how, or in what way, the new pope fits Malachy's prophesy. (NT) -- JoltinJoe, Tue April 05, 2005 17:56:25
