That is not entirely true in my opinion. A team's success, or lack thereof, in the NIT is not indicative of what they would have done in the NCAA tournament. Often times it is the bubble teams that fail in the NIT b/c it is hard to recover from the letdown of not making the big dance.   - Actually it is my opinion and it unequivocally reflects my opinion quite accurately. When I said that "I do not htink that the game against HC proved anything" I was referring to whether ND deserved a bid or not. In that regard I do not think the game proved anything.
