Pat Flannery did a great job outcoaching Bill Self and taking advantage of Langford's injury. Flannery can really coach - he controlled the tempo the entire game - no wonder his name pops up with job openings. After 15 years of existence, the PL finally breaks the ice.     - It's unclear what you mean by this post. But it doesn't address the fact that the PL will continue to self-destruct it's own teams by them having to play each other home and home, thereby driving down member's RPI.       - The Patriot League's performance in the past week of post-season may ease the nightmare a bit. The introduction of even limited scholarships is beginning to come to frutition at the top of the conference. We'll have to see what the future holds.         It will still be an uphill battle for the PL. There are a lot of scholarship conferences out there that rarely, if ever, get a 2nd bid. This year HC deserved consideration more than ever, but without a marquee win they were not going to get in. It will take a very special year from one of your teams and then an upset in the final in order to get 2 bids b/c they basically ignore your conference record as being against 2nd rate competition (not that it necessarily is).
