Well, I'll leave speculation about his future to DW. Obviously my point could have some relevance to his personal status, but I was really just thinking about how Gillen (with lots of Jesuit connections in his background) went after state university fool's gold. (When will we hear that Thad Matta is being let go at Ohio State?) But I have to admit that if Woody Grinch has the numbers right, Gillen will continue to be paid very well for having failed at UVa. I wonder when the taxpayers in these states are going to wake up and realize that their dollars are going to pay failed coaches. If UMass had made the NIT, getting rid of Lappas would have been quite a bit more expensive than it is now. Of course, we had to pay big bucks to get rid of Hill.
