Subject: If I am not mistaken, transfers and players leaving the program factor into this equation, which I am sure kills our grad rate from the Hill years.

  • The truly sad thing about these numbers if I read the article correctly was that it measured graduation rate within SIX YEARS of admission. Unbelievable, although some of the bigger programs probably have defections due to players turning pro. (NT) -- mjross, Wed March 16, 2005 17:20:24
  • These numbers are voodoo accounting. Plus, the eternal chciken and the egg like question. Is it more morally and ethically correct to not give a kid a degree who doesnt earn it or is it worse to pass a kid through and give him a degree he/she does not deserve? Sometimes a higher graduation rate might be more of a problem. (NT) -- ant hill, Wed March 16, 2005 17:59:10
