Subject: I think some people went a little PC-overboard with their reaction to the article, and the author (and his editors) overreacted to the criticism. The make-good ideas you provided are good but in my opinion would only serve to prolong what was fundamentally a series of misunderstandings. Some things just need to be chalked up to experience and put behind us after the dust settles. Time heals most wounds. I'm sure the Ram staff have all learned from this and will apply those lessons to producing a better product. I do like the idea of having Ram sports staff do in-depth pieces on other schools as a regular feature.
