Each school here puts out their own list. I was complaining of things like they wanted 16ct crayons not 24ct. 16ct were a $1.16 and 24ct were $.20 - we bought 24ct by the way they will have to deal with the extra 8 crayons LOL. Our school requested Washable Crayola Markers, but Wal-mart only had the 10ct pack that was $.88 so that's what we got - Sorry - I've never had trouble getting them out of clothes and let me tell you I've had plenty of practic at it. I swear they are the same marker Crayola (and all the stores) just jack the price up because it says Washable on it. I'm just not buying that Crayola has this entirely different Washable formula.

As for the secretary I've decided being bitchy one minute and sugar sweet the next is a requirement for ES secretaries. My sec at school can bite your head off and feed it to you and then be very nice in a 10 second turn around. The one at the boys school has never been ugly to us, but I've seen her be and she always has a sour puss look on her face. I know they deal with a lot of crap, but it does get old.

Brandie - how long would Lauren be out of school? If it's not more than a month or so I'd just take her out. Let them know up front what's going on etc. Ask for work and such and then go. A chance to come back to the states isn't something I'd give up for school attendance. I know K is important, but a good school, teacher, and parent should be able to handle a few weeks away. That's just my $.02 worth.
