RJ could handle the smell of sweat and blood. Even Mitak's screams, muffled by the rags he bit on, were easy to handle. It was the waiting that drove him nuts.
Redd's psychic barrage of the distant mecha's proved to be taxing on Mitak's already frail psyche, but it was the one final window they were all hoping for.
Trembling, Mitak suddenly stop screaming and took away the rag and used it to wipe away the blood that came trickling down his nose.
"Got it..."

RJ smiled and clasped Mitak's shoulder. "Good job. Now, let's go ditch her and we're all set."

On Yamato-04, in the dark, a certain blue haired women had slept through the whole thing, as she was recovering from her wounds. She had just woken up, as a curious sensation told her something wondrous was about to happen. Or something terrible. It all depended on your point of view, probably.
The same could be said for you, as you look up in the sky and see a bright new star, or actualy being close to the supernova.
That sort of feeling.
