Not having the time to reply, Virgil began changing magazines....but it wasn't necessary. With more than half their number inexplicably destroyed by an invisible force, the remaining mecha broke off...and in any case, the battle ended short moments later.

Virgil slumped backwads in his seat, utterly exhausted. It was a few seconds before he could muster up the energy to reply.

"Don't ever think it's then end"....I'll remember that...Thank you...

Htne he pointed the little suit towards the Yamato-04 and engaged the autopilot.

Calenderi watched from her perch on a railing as the battered Zaku landed. Immediately it was swarmed by a team of techs.

"Something's wrong!--He won't open the hatch!!"

!! Fearing the worst, the little dragon flitered over...but relaxed as she got close enough to restablish her mindlink, which she'd lost when the silhouette jumber consumed Virgil. And she picked up the soft-but-distinctive sound of her pet human's snoring.

"It's okay." she landed in front of the emergency hach release the mechanics were about to trigger. "Let him sleep." She grined--if her instincts could be trusted, someone would be along shortly to wake him up. ANs she was looking forward to that meeting...
