Mike, I've owned a few bikes in the last few years, an Aprilia Mille R, 3 TLR's, 2 1k's and a now defunct Busa(sold yesterday) I would have to say that the GSXR1k is the best of them all hands down. The TL requires lots of work to make it potent, weight reduction, motor,airbox,shock and exhaust are the least you can, the 1K out of the box rules. I have my 03 and will keep it forever, only a slip on and a toby damper. Good forever. the hot bike now seems to be the Kawi 1K, hard to come by ,but the fastes thing going -- TL1000 SV1000 Message Board

another thing Mike, the 03 has better brakes and puts out better hp #'s than the 04, can find many good 03's on e-bay for around 8k if you're looking (NT) -- Saurus, 11:18:46 08/12/04 Thu
