Penske is adjustable whereas ohlins isn't. Ohlins lifts rear 10mm seems excellent to me. Penske is more expensive by a good amount. Gene I put an ohlins on my bike, it's fantastic. 98 TL1000R

Replies:

  • Both offer large weight savings, around 8 lbs, plus much cleaner look. I like the ohlins because of the piggyback reservior for a clean look but the penske has more travel so it is a litle better for heavier riders. Really personal preference, I have had both and I think the Ohlins is a better value but they are both excellent. (NT) -- Adam - MotoExtreme, 10:38:59 08/17/04 Tue

  • Hey Adam - good to see you back around here! Agreed on your assessment of Ohlins / Penske. I believe Penske may be length-adjustable, Ohlins is not. (NT) -- dgrace (NorCal), 17:29:06 08/17/04 Tue
