I hear the hunt test is being received pretty well.It seems more so by the hound hunters. Do you feel the competition world changed the plotts? redbones? I do not see the leopards going the way of the walkers. I have no plans to change my direction breeding wise. I doubt if many of the current leopard fanciers jump in head first to the competition world. It is just not in the blood of most current leopard fanciers. We may pick up some new fanciers that like to competition hunt? Personally I think it is a shame that these dogs are not better publically known. A lot of hunters hear the word cur and assume they are hot nosed, yippie mouthed, still little dogs. Does that accurately describe your leopards? It sure don't mine. This will be a decision every member will have a say so in if they choose. So far most seem to welcome it. It really has no bearing on our current way of doing things. Folks can go either way(ALCBA or UKC) or both as many currently do. We allready know this has not changed things. We have been the charter club with UKC for 3or4 years now. I like the idea. I see it as offering more to new folks and younger members while remaining the same for us old timers. Now honestly tell me if you could not enjoy seeing a photo of Garth Gatson,Justin Carrol, or some other young fella on the cover of COONHOUND BLOODLINES for winning at Autumn Oaks or some other big hunt with their favorite leopard. Just give it some thought and I ask everyone to look at it with an open mind.Try to see both sides.Thank you, Perry
