    Hi! I just wanted everyone to know that there is a bunch on vingage Leif stuff from the late 70's and early 80's on ebay right now. I looks like this person is clearing out his/her collection (I'm assuming her). I think it's important that this stuff goes to people who truly appreciate it and will keep it safe. The sales on ebay are all ending Wednesday. Let's keep Leif's stuff preserved and in good hands! It's important to him especially now, that his past isn't being dumped on ebay!     Okay, I know that he has as he states has hit another brick wall, not sure if this was the brick wall in January 2006 or not, but my hope is that it is taken seriously. He has so many years behind him and more before him. That he needs to get it together and more forward in a positive direction. I know that we all wish the best for him. Just remember that only you (Leif) know what you want out of life and I knowyou want the best and the road that you have been takin is not it, switch courses....love always.

    Hello all you leif fans, Remember me Roland? I didnt li9ke seeing my old friend in trouble again nor looking so far gone.I did however do a piece on a show called Inside Edition, I was amazed that it was more about me than it was about Leif but the show went very well and I hope nothing but the best for the man, infact the facility he is now residing in is infact the same place I got clean and sober at just over 17 years ago! They are very firm there yet they daily offer addicts that are hopeless a little if not SOME hope I know cuz when I was hopeless thats what they gave me if nothing else but the task Leif is up against in really nothing more than who or what he is. That can be a very hard pill to swallow I assure you.
    Anyway to those who saw Inside Edition I hope you enjoyed it, I know I did as much as was possible in this situation. I just thought I would look around and see if there was a buzz( pardon the pun) about this whole issue and I am glad to see people still care and I will probaby stop by this site again! Please keep the man in your hearts and minds you never know when A miracle is going to happen right?
    ps. I say let bygones be bygones and as for all the drama that occured after the VH1 show I hold no grudges and hope none of you do either....

    I can't help but wonder if all the people that remind Leif how they have been his fans "since his teen years" just end up causing him more stress. Stress to "live up to" the "fame" that existed in his life when he was a teen. Leif, I know more profound and professional people will say this to you rather than me but let me give it a shot anyway: You are better and better every year of your life, not the otehr way around. Because who you are has nothing to do with the amount of fame or money you have, it has to do with you being happy and complete inside. Ignore whether or not you have 2 fans or 20,000,000,000 fans - and people that don't know you (such as myself) have not known you in the 1970's and don't know you now. So don't value yourself on fans nd certainly don't try to "live up to" the image that fame and fortune is "more" than what you have right now. It is NOT. I am not rich. I am not famous. But when I see any celebrity on TV I always feel like I have more than any of them! None of them could do my job as well as I do, none of them are as strong as I am. I KNOW it - it has nothing to do with money.
    Although I don't know you, I do believe that you are a very sensitive man based on the fact that I believe you live in guilt (causing drug addiction) for that accident many years ago involving Roland. Your senstivity is VERY VERY NICE AND WORTH MORE THAN ANYTHING.

    Hi Bonnie and Tina Lyn!
    It's been such a long time since I've posted. I've gotten re-married since you last heard from me. I see where you posted my birthday. Gosh, I had forgotten about that. I didn't even know you still had me listed. Thanx! I dropped in to hear how Leif was doing. I'm really impressed with the support he still receives. Talk about loyal friends, they're here! I have to agree with Jennifer Sinclair and wonder if Leif doesn't feel "fan pressure" to this day?
    Leif, if you read this, just remember you ARE an individual, a person who makes mistakes like everyone else. The disadvantage as you well know is that everything you do is in the media! Who cares? We know there's a very good person beneath the addiction and we're not giving up on you! You'll get there! I have a cousin who is now in his mid 30's. He is a recovering herion addict. Hopefully when you hear these true stories it will give you inspiration...
    He just couldn't kick it. He loved it even though it killed his mom literally from the stress she endured, he lost his wife, his kids were taken from him, he had no job, he would steal, break into homes, anything to get the money for this killer. His name was always in the paper, he was in and out of jail so many times that the guards(one, a good friend of mine) knew him on a first name basis instead of a number! The only thing that turned him around was the death of his mother as well as tapping in to a spiritual side. Whether it be Zen, Christianity, Buddism, Catholicism, Edgar Cayce, etc. FIND SOMETHING that is going to HEAL you and make you WANT to keep going. My cousin's mom enabled him so much that it was killing him while killing her ironically. Once she passed, he had NO ONE. Our family wouldn't bail him out because we felt it was way time to do the TOUGH LOVE thing. I know it's easy for everyone to get on their soap box and tell ya what to do. I know you're a neat person. If you weren't you would not have appealed to me in the 70's and certainly not now at 43. You have a lot going for you, you just need to tap into it. You'll find it. You really will. There's still time for you.

  • Hi girls, last night I had a dream. In my dream I saw this website including new pics of a healed Leif. He was smiling and looked healthy again.     After reading some of the many messages already posted here, I can see that it is perfectly clear why everyone is here....to show their love and support to an amazing man. I hope Leif has a chance to see how many people love and respect him and have him in their prayers, because I know he's in mine each and every night. It takes a strong person to admit they have a problem and it takes an even stronger person to do something about it. Life is going to be so amazing when you're clean and sober Leif. And your fans will still be there....waiting for you, for as long as it takes. We are here for you always!

    I just wanted to send Roland a message that I think it is really cool that he stopped by to write a message! You are a TRUE friend to Leif. I'm sure you guys been through alot in your days! I really hope he can turn this around and try to look deep inside himself and find the REAL person. He's there, he's just hiding out. If he just gave himself a chance he can turn his whole life around i.e. find a nice girl, have children because we all know he has a HUGE heart and he is such a sensitive person.     Jan. 30, 2006— Former 1970s teen idol Leif Garrett said he would enter a drug rehab center today for treatment for heroin addiction.

    "Even though it wasn't court ordered, I've decided that I think the best way to start out the program and get a good foundation … is to check in for 30 days," Garrett told ABC News. "I'm grateful for the opportunity to get cleaned up."

    Garrett, 44, agreed on Friday to enter a strict drug-diversion program for violating probation in a cocaine case. He also faces charges of felony possession of heroin.

    The diversion program requires frequent testing and daily counseling for at least a year, but Garrett said the in-patient rehab treatment was his choice.

    "I think you have to be ready to quit within yourself," Garrett said. "If you're not, it doesn't matter what rehab you go to."

    On Wednesday Garrett pleaded not guilty to felony possession of heroin stemming from a Dec. 14* arrest in Los Angeles.

    "I just want to get the clarity back," Garrett said. "I want to look in the mirror and see some bright eyes."

Even though there are still quite a few that doubt you can make it through, we think you CAN.     I watched the GMA segment with Leif and his mom and I must say, I was very disappointed! As a former heroin addict myself and clean for 3 years I must say, I wasn't too happy with what I saw. He was high during the interview!!! I could tell easily. His eyes weren't fully opened, he made horrible jokes and he didn't take anything seriously. Hopefully, and I mean hopefully, that was his last fix, considering he said he was checking into rehab the same or next day. Also, I hate to say it but, his mother is the one closest to him who is enabling him. I don't mean financially, I mean emotionally! Like Danny Bonaduce said, she can't blame herself for his actions. Yeah she should of been more careful with him when he was younger but, he's a grown man now. Again, as Danny said, you have to hit a bottom and only then, if you want it bad enough! He has to do it for himself and not anyone else! Good luck Leif, and I mean it!!!

    I happened to read about your recent decision to go in house for treatment, and I just wanted you to know that I think it is extremely brave on your part. My husband died several years ago of a drug overdose, and I am glad to see that you are attempting to turn your life around.

    To be completely honest, I thought you were some hot stuff when I was about 7--8-9 years old, I have your records, and didn't miss a Tiger Beat issue, especially the ones that headlined, "Are you the perfect girl for Leif?", corny now, but very serious love affair then.

    This is, by far, going to be the hardest thing Leif has ever done, but it is worth it.
    Leif, your life will get better, but you have to do the work...not negotiable. Unload all of it, don't hold back and don't give up! Saying things out loud will not destroy you but unburden you. Just be honest and let it all go. When the pain is dealt with, you can move forward. Counselors are there to help you find a way to cope without drugs. Take the help and take your life back.
    You deserve peace and happiness....you have love more than you know!

    I have been a fan of Leif's since I was a young girl in the 70's when I lived in California. I saw the movie skateboard about 10 times. I was a fan then & when I see him now in the media my heart still goes twitter-pated. I know this is a bump and recovery will be difficult, but with love & support I am sure that Leif will succeed. So stay strong & get better. A loving fan that now lives in Canada!

    I'm glad you only snorted heroin and are still alive. My best friend's son that was only 23 died right after he injected heroin, it is a very dangerous drug and I pray that you never go back to it. I've been a fan of yours since the 70's.     Former teen idol Garrett checks into rehabAssociated PressLOS ANGELES - Former teen idol Leif Garrett has voluntarily checked into a strict live-in drug rehabilitation program to "make sure he doesn't fall off the wagon," his attorney said Thursday.
    Garrett, 44, told a Superior Court commissioner Thursday he needed more help than what he was getting at an outpatient treatment program. The decision came after the actor-singer failed a recent drug test, said attorney Andrew Flier.
    Garrett agreed to enter the outpatient program for violating probation in a cocaine case stemming from a 2004 arrest.
    A warrant for Garrett's arrest had been issued in December after he failed to appear in court for a status report on his progress in the less stringent program.
    Garrett was charged with felony possession of heroin last month after officers stopped him for allegedly trying to ride a Los Angeles subway train without a ticket and said they found suspected narcotics. Garrett has pleaded not guilty in that case.
    Commissioner Melissa Widdifield told Garrett that despite the positive drug tests he deserves credit for entering the live-in program and attending required meetings and counseling sessions. She ordered him to return to court March 9 for another progress hearing.
    The former teen idol has appeared in dozens of films, mostly in the 1970s and 1980s, and released 10 music albums.

    I just watched a crock of shit from an interview on Good Morning America with his mother - Why does the mother think that Danny Bonaduci had not right to say his pic would haunt him - give me a break - it will - thats how are society is - helloooo! People are ruthless - & by the way - your son is a smart ass! other heroine addicts dont get the breaks he does - he better get on his hands & knees and pray to God! For being able to get on TV (again,again, and again) about his drug problem! Most drug addicts just have to die or pushed to the way side and not get another 15 minutes of people feeling sorry for them! God Bless All of you - you need it!

    Dear Leif,
    I was really disappointed and upset to hear of your arrest in Los Angeles over your situation. However, I'm so glad to hear that you are able to admit that you have this dependency and that you actually want to do something about this to better your life (e.g. rehab). Just remember, don't do this for your fans, do this for yourself. Yes the moral and unconditional support that you are getting from your fans is comforting, but you need to do this to benefit you.

    Your mom was right, the picture is of heroin's son not hers. But you should keep that picture and keep looking at it everday til your addiction is under control. Even then don't throw it away, keep it somewhere to look at it when your addiction tempts you again. I am a fan from the 70's and am saddened that you have made the national news this way. I hope you can get your act together soon. This life is the only one you've got!!

The birthday banner that traveled across America and into Canada as well... the great sound of Godspeed (yes, I know, some of us had our issues, but they sounded GREAT!)... and the Sheraton hotel that will never host us again! LOL
