• awesome musician? I wouldn't go that far. I too have seen him in person and I did enjoy the show. He definitely rocked the place. But, rocking out in a bar to a crowd of a hundred or so is a lot different than a stadium. I doubt he will ever be more than what he is now. He probably makes an ok living. Isn't this message board intended for people to talk amongst each other, about Leif? I have seen this go back and forth since 1999...nothing much has changed. He probably doesn't even read this and if he does he probably doesn't care. Most show business people need a thick skin...and his must be like armour by now. • Kimberly, Have you ever walked in the shoes of Bonnie and Tina Lyn? I have! I give them credit for not quitting long ago. It's not easy putting so much effort in and getting little respect in return. Is it to much to ask for a courteous exchange of information? Leif has always been kind to me in person. I would certainly see him again if he performed locally but, trying to promote Leif is not easy. I can't say why it all falls apart but in the end it's Leif's career so he is the one coming off poorly. One thing I can say as someone formerly involved in this website, you never quite feel valued for what you do. It's not a celebrity thing, it's a human attribute to be gracious and thankful to those who champion your cause. You can't know what you don't know! Much has transpired over the years.   • What I've heard from various people over the years is that Leif doesn't want things announced in case the show never airs. If that's true, there's some negative, distorted thinking on his part that it will reflect badly on him if the shows never air. Some projects just never make it, but it's no fault of any of the guests. Most celebs communicate to their fans with a little more respect and they don't think about possible negative reactions. I personally think Leif & Co. don't want things announced because it's a control issue. He doesn't have control where he needs it, so his fans sit like dogs waiting for scraps. We just have to wait for the announcements or rely on the other sources. Sorry to be blunt, but this puppy is not staying in the box forever.   • Hi, Kimberly. Thanks for posting. You're correct - everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, there is history here dating back to 1999. Most of us have met Leif more than once and he is always nice. If this was a first-time occurrence I would be more forgiving and understanding, but so many negative things have happened over the past 9 years that it becomes difficult to keep the faith at times. Again, there is much history with this site and its predecessors, and not all of it is good - but we usually give Leif the benefit of the doubt because we truly care about him. But occasionally the negative outweighs the positive. It would take forever to explain everything that's transpired between the fans of this site and Leif since his Behind the Music first hit the air in 1999. I do this for those fans that still love Leif and seeing their faces light up after waiting 30 years to meet him is fantastic. I do expect Leif to be the sweet guy that he can be for the few nights he does work. That's definitely not too much to ask. Most people work full time and have to be pleasant even when we don't feel like it. Constructive feedback is something that one hopes will improve communication. I read over what I posted before and I don't see any bashing going on, just asking for Leif and Barbara to be accountable in the roles they chose.
