• Hi all. I'm new to your forum but not to the site. I sent an email to y'all last month and also Leif's website but got no replies from either. Over the past year this guy has been heavily on my mind after having lost track of him for 30+ yrs. Guilty this time or not he's obviously very troubled and I too fear the day the headline replaces Corey's name with his. Devastating would be a gross understatement. I've felt so compelled to reach out to him even before this latest arrest so if y'all have a way for me to do that I'd be exceedingly grateful. I don't know what I can say that hasn't been said but when the Spirit's movin' ya to do something, there ain't no peace 'til ya git 'er done! So if ya can help me out in tryin' to help our boy out please reply here and I'll keep checking back or send me an email to the address I'm including here.   • Hi Laura. Leif doesn't have email that we know of. There is a fan mailbox set up on the official site but I don't know if Barbara answers those. There's an address on our FAQ page that I think is still valid. Also, I checked our inbox and we never received anything from you here or we would have replied. info@leifgarrettfans.com Leif has another court date coming up this week so we shall see what happens this time around. Any kind of addiction is difficult to overcome. Until someone decides to change, words just bounce off the person. Leif has heard how much people care, but he has to want it for himself.       • I meant no disrespect for Leif's privacy, I wouldn't dream of it. It seems to me that in the past Leif has been very open about his addiction problems and his motives appear to be geared toward inspiring others who share his struggles. I can't say for sure if past participants have benefitted from the show because I haven't watched that many times, but I do believe in Dr. Drew and his abilities as well has his kindness which I am sure Leif needs and deserves. Truth is, we could debate the Dr. Drew issue all day but I think we all know that the ball is in Leif's court. If he is to ever get permanently well it has to be his choice and I don't really care what method he chooses as long as it works.           • I totally agree about jail. I think it's the WORST thing for him. There's no easier place to get drugs than jail. I found out that Dr Drew also does private counseling and is aware of Leif's situation. All he would have to do is ask. So many websites are predicting he's the next to go; it just makes me cry. I wish he would read them and get scared enough to do something about it. Anyway, thanks for talking through this with me. I just rediscovered Leif a year ago and he's been on my mind so much. I've suffered clinical depression, anxiety and panic disorder much of my life and have read that heroin users suffer similar symptoms. Maybe that's why I identify with him so much and would so love to share experiences with him. I don't know if it would help or not; I know it helps me to talk with fellow sufferers especially when none of my friends and family understand. • Sure....why would a person get offended by a seemingly confrontational response to a non- confrontational observation...? Relax. I've been a fan for 30 years...you don't need to defend him to me. Simply stated: I loved Leif's original music. It's been a long time since there's been any. My OPINION is that his passion for it may have waned.
