Hey everyone, I need some input on customizing a wrist band. Leif gave me the idea however, I have 3 friends from different geographical areas that are going through a rehab program and I'd like to give them a wristband as a reminder to stay sober. I'm looking for something catchy. I have some ideas but nothing is standing out for me. Would you mind giving me some suggestions? Really appreciate this!

Hi everybody!I'm an Italian Leif Fan and i have some questions for you Leif-experts :-) Can you give me the complete list of the songs in The Leif Garrett Tv Special in May 1979? Where can i buy it? Is it possible to know a list of the songs of one of his past concerts (for example in the famous performance at the Astrodome in Houston in the April 79,which song he sing?) I think his first live concert was in early 1979..is that right? And the last of the 'young era',in what date? 1981? Here in Italy is easy to found the sinlge 45RPM of 1981 'I Am A Rebel' because it was the signature for a our TV show,does it exist in US or UK countries? Excuse me for my awful English Bye THANKS

The video is in NSTC format, not sure if your vcr is PAL format. I think his first concert was in 78 at 'magic mountain' in CA. I have never heard the song 'I am a rebel' does Leif sing this song? Hello everyone. Just a few things I'd like to say. A question or two and a few comments. Here goes: I am so worried about Leif, as we all are I'm sure. One of my questions is this.. When a person only smokes heroin, do they still go through the "sickness withdrawls" that people who inject it do? I have never done heroin.. My drug of choice was meth. (Been clean and sober for 12 years now, YAY!) Anyway, I'm so worried about Leif and how he must be going through those withdrawls. Do they do anything for you when you're in jail and get sick like that? How in the hell can jail do you any good when you're in a situation like he is? I know, I know, HE got himself busted again - but... Oh I don't know. I'm probably not making any sense. I just feel such a connection to him right now. I can't explain it, it's very weird. I'd appreciate any response that you may have. Especially from Roland. I think it's fantastic that he reads the posts and replies to some. I'd really like to hear what he has to say along with others. To remember all those years ago (I'm 41 now) when I had my walls full of Leif posters and couldn't wait to get my Tiger Beat magazine in the mail makes me smile. Ok, I've rambled enough but I'm so glad I found this site, it's wonderful. Take care all.

- hey Robin - I never used heroin either, but i have a brother who's got a terrible addiction like Leif. My brother started off snorting then smoking it, finally using needles. He's been in and out of jail due to dirty drug tests as well, and they do NOTHING for you. You have to just be ill and get over it. It's pretty hardcore. But, I think about Leif like I do my brother - when we know he's in jail, at least he's alive and not using. Getting 3 meals a day and a place to sleep, know what i mean? I've been a fan forever! You were my teen idol while growing up---you're only 2 yrs. older than me. I've been down your path---alcohol, drugs--you name it and recovery can be done! The most important thing I found for me and it was the only thing was to remove myself from "place". Being in recovery you'll know what that means. I moved from a big city, back to my hometown and I've been clean for 4yrs. now and plan on being clean for the rest of my life. I know you live in a place where you've only ever known but maybe you can go somewhere else where you know little or nothing and start over. It's a hard thing to do but if you really want a life free of drugs you may have to make a drastic change in your life such as leaving the place that always seems to get you into trouble. When you're under the influence of drugs don't you do drastic things anyways? How would moving to another place be any more drastic than some of the negative things you may have done while under the influence of drugs. Anyways, you've always been one of those teen idols I think about often even being 42yrs. old. It troubles me to see this happening to you but you can perservere---if that's what you really want.

Some people will say "you need to do this or that" in order to get back on track. No one knows better than you what you need or want right now. You have to want to make yourself stop using drugs as a means to walk away from responsibility to yourself. We will always watch you no matter what...just make yourself healthy and happy for YOU. Who am I? I am a woman who's mother lived in denile...I raised myself and have never touched drugs because of her. I watched the self destruction of a wonderfully talented and gifted individual, such as yourself. I am the survivor...you can be too. Take a look in the mirror of your soul...what do you see? If you get to read this Leif I hope that you find a way to find recovery. It saddens me to see you going through this as you were my biggest heartthrob when I was a teen. I still have the albums. Anyway, as an owner of a drug treatment facility that uses medication replacement therapy in conjunction with counseling, I have seen this work for many people. Methadone and suboxone can be a life saver with the counseling when you get out, you may want to consider this form of treatment and then at a later date be completely drug free. www.ctrri.com

  - As a rule, I don't think rehabs are long enough. They're long enough for addicts to dry out then they let them go when they should just be delving in to the addiction. I'm glad he's staying. What is wrong with his mom's health? Thank you for thinking of me and my family during this difficult time. I was one of four boys, and two of my other brothers had passed away in accidents years ago and this was my last brother. Reality has hit hard and only my mother and I are now left. Hold tight to your siblings because you never know when they may pass. I was touched by the emails and cards that I have received. It is really easy to sit back and pass judgment on someone
elses life. Its also human nature to take a bit of joy in
watching someone who we feel as had a dream life, fall from
grace.. Believe me I am quite sure that Leif has had to deal with things that we, as the masses, couldn't understand. Both good and bad. But drugs do to everyone the same damage. Regardless of how good looking or talented
or rich and famous we are. AND IT IS A DISEASE you would not look down on someone who has cancer. ( I know we choose to use drugs) But once your hooked its too late to make the wise decision not to try them. And I think its great of his mother to try to protect him and find excuses
for his behavior. ( maybe alittle misguided ) But thats her
child no matter how old he gets.. And she loves him and I sure she feels that Hollywood used and then disgarded him
when he no longer of use to them...Which is a fact.. I wish all the best for him and his mother. And pray he can
stop the drugs. that will only destroy him.. I know because
my mother did H. most of my childhood ... She has been clean 19 years..

Dear Leif,

I'm not sure if you will remember this but I was 16 so it was probably around 77. You came to Springfield Mall, Va do a signing of your of your album, I was working a Harmony Hut. It got so crazy that you couldn't go out there and they were breaking the door down and climbing n the trees. I was standing in the hall that you were coming down so that no one tried to come in the back way. There was a rail there and me being the tom boy that I was I was doing flips around this bar waiting for your arrival. Just as I finished doing one of those flips here you came walking aroung the corner and I was so embarrassed. But you know I saw a twinkle in your eye that made me say to myself this guy is the real thing. I've never been able to get close enough to anyone other then Charlie Sheen and we won't go into that cause we all know how he is. If you see him ask him about the girl that kicked his but in pool he was not happy. Now see that is how he acts all the time...and I didn't see that in you and I don't see it now....just pull up those boot straps and show this world how wrong they are about you...and I know that you have the ability to do that...cause I saw it that day. My thoughts are with you.

From a star struck teenage girl that is an adult in you and I have always followed you in your life and I was like one day you will get it...you just need to believe in yourself. What I would give to be flipping over those bars again and watch you walk down that hall.

- Hi Roland, sorry I didn't respond sooner but my mom passed away on 2/5 and we've been overwhelmed with funeral arrangements etc. It's good to see you. We emailed for a time "back in the days", you were always so nice to me. I looked for Rollandrock and was disappointed that it was gone. Do you still have a website?? I, too, thought it was so sweet of you to post and be supportive of Leif. He truly needs all our support. I hope you're both well and happy ;-) and that things are going good for you. Hello Everyone!

Tempe 'leifettes" and looooong past days of Fortune, Mystery Chick, DOO DOO HET, and ALL the chats and utter craziness that swirled around that time in our lives!

I am still alive and kicking, although my (dare I say it?), obsession with LG is long over, I still remember with a smile and big laugh the many, many great times I spent getting to know some of you who I see are still here over late night chats (IS HE HERE?)and good times in Tempe!!

Believe it or not, I still have some of those chats saved, and some of our more hilarious message boards too. Posterity. My Own Personal Nostalgia. Ha!

Do any of you recall the article for COVER Magazine entitled "Leifland and the Women Who Live There", I have that too, which strangely enough is a pretty darn accurate and detailed description of the madness that was Leifmania.

I'll check back soon to see who all remembers.. hello to TinaLyn, Lorilee, Karen, LaDonna and all my fellow Leifettes! In the meantime, here's a little ditty I found bouncing 'round my puter....

Tempe was one of the most fun (and embarrassing) trips of my life. I'm glad we share those fond memories. Nice to see Roland posting. The pictures alone are valueable as they were from his record label at the time..not from a magazine...also his bio and newclippings...
