  • It's been my experience that managers whom should encourage resourcefulness often are intimidated by it, may try to deny it or even falsify it. This is not the norm and produces an unpleasant environment. Someone that should be your ally is hoping you fail. The only thing to do is to lie low and wait for a regime change or get out. I try to stay focused, dotting i's and crossing t's even though I know the rules could change at will and the i's will need to be crossed instead and so forth. What this longwinded post is getting at is that I barely have the energy to deal with one of this personality type. Hmm, this sounds like a typical abusive relationship now that I read it back, wow. Yeah, well there ya go. This was my way to say please stop giving us credit because it just stirs the pot and makes some people madder at us for doing a good job, but nevermind. • I have noticed the spots on Leif and unfortunately it looks like vitiligo. I have been diagnosed with vitiligo and see the dermotologist every 6 mo. There is no "real" treatment for this condition at the moment.   • Yeah can you believe it! I'm soooo tired! I'm really glad Barbara or whoever has that site up and pro all the way. I'm a stage mom now. We don't have time to put into this one like we used to. Lulu is in a performing arts HS this year and the ensemble again this year .Her HS won regionals last weekend for a dramatic play and going to states next week overnight. And, she's been nominated for a summer state program too. I guess when I get laid off sometime next year, I'll have time to shuttle her around everywhere! So that's some of my life. I'm glad Leif is getting himself together and there are productive people around him. Who knows what 2011 will bring for all of us. • Hi Sherry. There are 10 pages of Archives here up on the top right going back to 2007. Page 1 stops at July. Leif doesn't have a facebook page. The only official pages that Barbara runs are leifgarrett.net and the myspace.com/leifgarrett There is a facebook page called Leif Garrett but it's a fan and people have been posting various pictures in the album. I haven't posted on the official site yet either. • Truth is sad sometimes. Opinions can hurt because they are filled with personal emotions from the past as we have seen. The truth is Leif is an addict. The truth is addicts live for their next fix. The truth is unless an addict is in recovery, nothing will ever be more important than getting that next fix. They may call themselves "functioning" addicts and they only use enough to stay "normal", but it's bs - they exist for the drug. Every relationship, every word spoken, everything they do is in hopes it will result in getting drugs. The truth is Leif has hurt and used people, physically and emotionally because he is an addict. Yes, it's true he has brought joy and happiness to people as well. I am skeptical that Leif can stay in recovery. However, I choose to hope it is possible that he can learn to love and respect himself and others. Maybe I'm just a sucker for a Hollywood ending, but so what.
