ken, what you had is a situation that doesn't happen that often with these salmon, so should we keep the salmon because somebody actually caught one that bit a fly or bait.

I heard that Fran shot a video this year of a king striking a fly behind the hatchery. That's great, but when asked if he had more than one do this out of the scores of fish in this "off limits to the public area", the answer was no. So, you see, even when there is no pressure on these fish they don't take all that great. I would have thought his odds would have been better since Fran knows what he's doing. I just wish more guides like Chuck Rogers would come forward and agree that the pacific salmon need to go. We have other great gamefish to replace them with. We've tried the salmon program for many years and now I think it's time we tried something else. It may turn out better, but by no means can it get any worse.

Let the first shots for a new fishery be fired here and lets get this rolling, we can't wait any longer. All in favor, say I.
