With this Ponzy Scheme "fiat currency" begin to topple, like a gyro on it's last legs and with this being at least the tird crop failure in a row world wide, what do the others on this board see as important for those of us with limited means, better than average self-sufficiency and a desire to not simply 'survive' but to maybe even have a life worth living? As mentioned earlier, the Rule of Threes taught in survival culminates in Shelter, Water & Fire (hearth). After having a year of Beanie-Weenies and Perrier, what's next?

Medics: Do we have medical people who can suggest OTC or easily prescribed meds and items.

Engineers: (like me) Energy systems so that we can operate more self contained, such as lights, communications etc . ? //My primary lighting is electrical/solar, Hf radios form the same house battery and internal batteries on the smaller /portable/packable equipment if required.

Cruisers: Areas of interest, whether domestic, shared border or full ocean passage opportunities to other countries/islands? What are your thoughts? Jay's thoughts on Hawaii are interesting and there may be other venues. What are you experiences and thoughts?

It would be good to get the discussion rolling.
