It's only a theory, but I know for a fact that Geocities does that to free accounts whose webmasters haven't logged in for a while; they can't afford to waste space on bandwidth on a site if the owner apparently doesn't care about it. (They've sent me notices that I need to log into a free account or lose it, which is how I know about the policy.) After I left Sideslip's account, a Topcities one, alone for quite a while, it vanished, so I think that Topcities might do the same. It would make sense. I cannot, however, be certain.
