    If KRPG is nice and active, I'll be glad to keep it going as long as I can. But if it's just me and some other RPer clinging to life... well, that's not much incentive to keep it up. Just like Terole, guys -- I'll do all I can, now that I'm back, to keep it alive... but it's the players, not the owner, who make an RPG great. Help me out, okay?

    New plans mean I won't be active again 'til probably next Tuesday. Basically, I submitted the first chapter of one of my novels to a scholarship contest -- I got 1st Honorable Mention, aka 4th, out of 62 entries. Not shabby, but I don't get any money for it. =u_u= However, I get my way paid to the WV Writers Annual Conference at Cedar Lakes. Due to some finagling, Amy gets to come with me for a minimal fee, so we're gonna be MIA from Friday to Sunday, and I guarantee you I'll have domestic crud to do Monday. So, to sum up, expect me on Tuesday, eh?

    Eh, screwit. I'm going to be inactive until further notice, guys. I took the AP exam today (rather think I did well, too), but everything is coming to a head. Mom's b-day, Mother's Day, prom, finals, graduation -- all in this month. And finding a job at the very tail end of this month, too.

    I'm still kinda clinging to KRPG. But blast, with the way things look... I don't know. And anyways, I can name about four people who would care if I closed it. Kitty, Kay, Kain, and El. Probably Rachel, too, come to think of it. Five, then. Not suggesting you five aren't important ('cause you're my best RPers and you're all my friends) but... I just don't know if I can do it.

    The mother looked at the two girls, thinking. They both seemed knd. They both seemed loving... which one? Oh, how she wished she had two queen eggs!

    But then, a shake from the object curled up in th mother's tail silenced those thoughts.

    A golden set of wings sent shards flying through the sand as Nazereth pulled her tail away just in time. The queen inside gave a lurch, and was free of its remaining entrappments. Eyes blue with sudden life and red with hunger, the golden form made her way out of the pile of eggs.

    Nazereth cooed encouragingly to her daughter. She'd find her impresor just like a real dragon!

    The sun bounced off the blazing golden hide, a bit dark, and the color of solid gold in a dim room. Her wings shot out as she tried her very hardest to find food, shelter, love...

    The fledgling then seemed to realize her color, and stood a bit more proudly, walking in as best a manner as she could while still accidently seeming to humble herself.

    Then, she saw the two girls. Her heart and mind raced. Would one of them feed her? And she made a split second decision that would effect the rest of her life, in a good or bad way, depending on the girl.

    She walked over to her father's impressor. Her crimson eyes swirled pleadingly to Kajin, and she cooed pitifully at her, begging for something to eat...

    Nazereth smiled. Her daughter had chosen. she sent first a message to Kajin, then one to Sahira.

    Well done, Kajin. Now, feed her. She is yours and I expect you to take the best care posible of her! What is her name?

    Sahira, I am sorry. You may have any other egg or combination of eggs your heart desires. As long as you take care of them, of course.

    This post DIRECTLY CONCERNS those who currently play at KRPG, including Queen of Cats, Kain, Kitty, and Gerwyn's player. Others who have played at KRPG in the past may also want to read this. THIS IS IMPORTANT, folks. In a good way. XD.

    I would like to propose a novel. A novel that would basically contain the IC history of KRPG and that would involve all characters whose players gave me permission to use them. I would be the sole author of this novel (because I'm too picky to co-write something ^_^;;) and would credit those who created the chars on the online version of said novel and especially if it should ever be published. I would likely have to slim down the notable chars, but the above list of players have all had important chars that are key players in past plotlines. Naturally, since the game is still going, the novel wouldn't be finished soon by any stretch -- and the game's actual plotline would be subject to twisting to fit into a novel format.

    What do you guys think? Am I crazy for wanting to attempt this? Would you let me use some of your chars -- if so, which ones and under what conditions, if any?

    If this goes through and is approved by the five people listed above (one of which -Kitty- has already approved XD), I would definitely discuss any major changes to plot and character details with you guys. Probably set up a little subsection of my site for the novel-in-progress to be posted and an independent message board so you guys could comment and discuss and gripe at me when I screw up. ^_^

    I play Gerwyn on KRPG, and I know I posted something about being gone on a trip. I'm still gone. I'm actually posting this through my sister, who I am talking to on the phone. We stayed in Washington four days longer than we were supposed to because our bus driver guy had a heart attack, and all the other's were busy. Not fun. I finally got home and was sick in bed for a week. Now we are in Mississippi.
    Because of all this mess I have no idea what is going on in the KRPG. Is the fight still going? I hope so, I don't want to have missed it all. I'm still alive though! I will be back! Hopefully within the week we should be back in PCB, and I will be able to get on the 'net again. Thanks for reading my stupid rant/explanation/dun't know what else, Sushi. Major apologies for my inactiveness.

    Well... I got those 4 people requesting that ARPG stay open, and, well... I guess it'll stay open. BUT *points a finger at you* I'm going to need you guys' help to keep it that way. I can't keep ARPG open by myself. A game needs active members to keep from dying.

    However, to keep things interesting... what do you guys want to see in ARPG? More action, more lessons, what? The well of creativity can only go so deep before it goes dry in one person. Lemme know, I'm open to suggestions.

    We've been redoing our kitchen floor this week while dad's on vacation. The old one was rotting through, mostly underneath where the refrigerator was. Holes in it, eek. And mold to high heavens! Good grief.
    But yeah. Today is the last day of dad's vacation and we've got most of the cabinets and such back in place... but for one small (small? Try huge) problem. He broke the PVC piping that was underneath the sink and drains the dishwater. But it broke off inside the wall. Much fun. Much fumes from the rubber cement. *coughs*
    But anyway... that's what's going on in my neck of the woods.

    The queen regarded both girls. Both had bronze friends, that was all. Both seemed to make good impresser's for her daughter. But who would it be?
    She cuddled up against Shinwa, her tail protectivly carressing the golden egg of her daughter. She sent a message to both girls.

    She is not yet ready. both stay here. Then, final judgment for her will occur.

    Cyead - also known as the newly discovered West continent of Pern. It is smaller then both the North and South continents, but no less in their Weyr strength. The lead Weyr, Kiyon, was the first to be discovered by Benden Weyr in the time of Threadfall. The three continents worked together and helped the Northern continent be spared. Only then was it noticed that Cyead had a larger variety of dragons. Theirs were bigger, stronger and faster than any other. Their Queens produced many other Queens in one clutch opposed to the one most gold queens produced. They became heroes as they helped repopulate the continents with the original colors of dragons the Southern and Northern continents had. Thread still falls as the Queens rise again to mate. The wingleaders have been suited up to fight and the maturing weyrbrats are ready for impression. What will happen to the world or Pern? Will it be overrun and destroyed by Thread? Or will the dragons and their riders rise once again to defend their world? Only time will tell.


    ((Yes, yes, another Pern site. Personally it is VERY active and there is going to be a clutch laid pretty soon. We need Candidates and I would very much appreciate it if someone helped us out. We have maybe 15 candidates so far but 30 eggs. Please help?))

    Okay gang, I've tried to put it off as long as I could. I didn't want to see yet another of my game attempts fail, even one so close to my heart as this one.

    I have decided to close ARPG>

    It's probably no big suprise. As I said, it was inevitable. Activity became squat and stayed that way. I appreciate all your guys' help and support, especially your willingess to participate in it and the enthusiasm that had begun for oh-so-short of a time.

    Anyway, other news. I think my compy's finally reached rock bottom. I've managed to get on it today and post here, and God willing it will continue to let me, but there's no guarantee.
    So I may be inactive at Sideslip for an undetermined length of time. There may be days my computer works and days it doesn't. It's pretty much unpredictable these days. I hope I don't miss too much of Shrineth's flight. And yes, El, I know Sideslip has its own ooc board but boards2go hates me. And it's not getting much compasson from me, either.

    Anyway, that's all the bad news.

    Yes, that does mean there's good news.

    I'm working on getting an elfwood gallery!
    I've been using the scanner at church to get my drawings on a floppy disk so I can take 'em home and edit them to my liking. Yes. Yay. Woo.
    But I haven't recieved any sort of confirmation on my join-form-ticket-thing yet so it's not in concrete. All I can do is hope and pray that it'll go through. :)

TL could be described as a mix between those two, in a whole new world of cold winters and thirteen moons. The Byrmulves are back, but with a whole new style - great, beautiful furred beasts with feathered wings and charismatic elegance. But some have evolved into the different sections of the new world.. there are oceanic Byrmulves as well, there are those of the tundras and the deserts, and the smaller Byrmulves that make their homes in the jungles of the tropics. And no longer do the Dralings, the half human, half dragon creatures from Baratombia, bond with them.. instead, you play the role of any form of Aquilian Vhistael.. that is, a half human and half ANY animal creature. There is no set model for Vhistael.. no, you can hold any traits from both your animal and human halves to create a rich and unique diversity in Thes Ladrin. And you don't have to bond with a Byrmulf.. you can open a shop in the Market Square and maybe even get your own building in town for it (a message board). You can breed qylbuu to hunt or drapourjhe to race or haul, or even breed triffs for certain vulpine and feline traits. You can get yourself a drapourjhe and roam the world, uncovering the secrets and the wonders of Thes Ladrin. To top it off, an aesthetic, yet simple, page design and lots of pictures will make gameplay easy on the peepers. There are lots of bonus pages, such as an index of all the pets owned in TL and the current weather situation.

    "Well, this isn't too bad..." she half whispered, half thought. She swayed a bit on her injured leg, and shalth was a bit afraid she'd fall.
    Don't worry, Shalie. We're all ok now.

    Yes. We will fly again. Nthing will go wrong. And when we need help, we know not to only call on the master.

    There were a few times where she nearly fell over, but straitened herself again. She'd be ok... she had to stay strong. For Shalth, for the other weyrlings, for the Weyr, she'd try her best.

    Currently, neither I (LG) nor El can post on Voyforums. That means that the leadership of both Drat RPG prides is currently out of commission, as well as many NIW characters. The following dragonriders will be missing from NIW until further notice.
    LG: Talla, T'gan, N'ris, D'minic, S'kar, P'rin, D'rai, K'vren, Akema, R'ven, and Z'ni
    El: Wessae, A'rak, C'shar, T'mber, Emma, Jara, R'kese, and H'rrison
    Most importantly, that means that both adult golds won't be active, and K'vren and Jara can't reply to weyrling training. Also, D'minic and Ulyssanth have officially dropped out of Valor and Elith's flight, for obvious reasons; unless the situation is solved before Venieth's flight ends, Akema's Laffranth will have to fly AFTER a few of the others on the list. >_< We're sorry about this, but there's not exactly anything we can do about it.

    I don't feel very good right now, and I've an essay for Government due tomorrow I should start on.. however, I feel like my hiatus has gone on long enough. I need to once again slim my characters.. the ones I don't feel like I can post well. Sorry for this, mri'faos.. I am trying to get my own RPG project up and running.. but it's very graphics intensive and my scanner broke. So I was a little depressed and stopped working on it. And I had said: 'Madeleine, when you finish this RPG and air it to the world, you will begin posting again!' You know.. just to come back with a bang. So I held off and held off and suppresed my bloody guilt until I couldn't really stand it, and that time is now. So, I shall toddle off and post. By the way.. argh.. I'm going into something called the SUMMIT program at school. It's where my core, academic classes are much more advanced. It's like a Pre-AP program for freshmen and sophomores. ( The Summit Program liked the 1150 I got for my very first PSAT. ) So I don't know what to expect.. I will probably be more pressed for time. Here's a list of the characters I plan on keeping. Yes, it's trimmed a lot.

    Okay, the active check is over. The grace period which was formed by my, uh... *cough* being busy the past couple of, uh... days... is over too. It wasn't too bad, we only lost... three. Tai, Nezoul, and Wildfire.

    Now to the part that irks me slightly. Slightly. I'll try not to yell 'cause I'm not /that/ irritated.
    Certain Ayas in the pack (one of which has quit/been deleted) have been going places in the blink of an eye without a post to indicate they have left.
    Any decent role-player will tell you that if you leave one place and go to another, it's an unspoken rule that you first post at the first location. This helps to clear things up so the other players aren't posting and interacting with your char after your char has left. If you do not post a message that indicates you have gone somewhere else, it creates mass confusion and the world explodes.
    Well, it's maybe not that destructive, but it sure will confuse people and put a halt to the flow of role-play. It's also a lot easier to keep track of where your char is so they aren't missed by any stray active checks. *sweatdrop* (sorry Cristal!)

    Okay, so some of this is old had to you antique role-players. But the next generation is coming or has come, and must be taught as we ourselves had to be taught when we first started role-playing.
    It won't kill you to listen to a little refresher course, anyway! ~_^

    Cyead is the newly discovered West continent of Pern. It is smaller then both the North and South continents, but the land is just as strong. The lead Weyr, Kiyon, was the first to be discovered by scouts from Benden Weyr in the time of Threadfall. The three continents worked together and helped the Northern continent be spared from destruction by too much Thread. Only then was it noticed that Cyead had a larger variety of dragons. Theirs were bigger, stronger and faster than any other. Their Queens produced many other Queens in one clutch opposed to the one most gold queens produced. Thread still falls as the Queens rise again to mate. The wingleaders have been suited up to fight and the maturing weyrbrats are ready for impression. What will happen to the world or Pern? Will it be overrun and destroyed by Thread? Or will the dragons and their riders rise once again to defend their world? Time will tell.

    Alright. It's Valentine's Day. LAST CHANCE for those who want to save their arpg chars! The Ayas in danger are Tai, Wildfire, Cristal, and Nezoul. If their players want to keep them, they'll have to let me know, whether directly or through Sushi or your messenger of choice.
    I don't like active checks. But they're neccesary to keep a rpg tidy. Blech.

    Okay, second item on the agenda. KRPG.
    I'm tired of fighting it, I'm tired of having to make myself post. And especially I'm tired of fitting in Sushi's group of 'inactives'. Maybe if I had more incentive from others I might keep Likhayti a little more active, but as it is... *shakes head* I don't want to be so irresponsible that I just let her sit there and get taken out in the next AC.
    Playing Lik was getting hard anyway. So I'm quitting her. I hate to do it but if I'm going to stay on Sushi's good side and not get yelled at for not being active (*wink*) I will make myself.
    So there. I hope I make an example for some of you out there who just don't take the time to go post your chars at krpg. I was like that but I've put a stop to it. Enough's enough.
    Let's hope krpg doesn't fall after many ups and downs like Terole did. And to do that it will need YOUR help. You Korat-players out there have to show that you're accountable and responsible enough to not let simple laziness destroy a rpg. I know that many of you are busy and preoccupied. But I also know that there are others who have time but don't spend a part of it keeping up with their rpgs.

    So yeah. I'm done ranting. Shame. I enjoyed playing Likhayti. I guess I'll just have to save her for the Korat dream on furc. =P

    So, this hatchling thought he was worthy of the golden queen, did he? And him only in the flight for five seconds! Well, he certainly had a way with words. But it was all flight lust. The moment the flight was over, whichever one of them was chosen, the intenseness of the emotions would dissipate. And for the one that was chosen, the two would part ways after the clutch was hatched. It was the way of the world.
    The sunlight shining through the clouds struck Skyi's hide, and he was dazzled momentarily as the angle made the light slant off to blind him. But he recovered quickly, and spread his wings wide to gain as much speed as posible. Garth came towards her at ever increasing pace, arching his neck and vaning his wings to show off his well-muscled figure. The sunlight flowed over him, and he watched her with acute eyes to see her every move.
    His powerful wings responded to his slightest wish, and he could perform the wildest acrobatics in midair than any other creature. He twisted, spiralling around her before doing wild cartwheels, his wingtips skimming the cloud oh, so gently. He dove to her again, somersaulting over and around her to show her his prowess.
    A bugle of final challenge left him, and he put on a final burst of speed to catch up with her, hissing at the other persuer.
    Gold is a metal favoured by men, and gold is a queen who is favoured by fire-lizards. You, Skyi, are the most beautiful of all the others I have seen, and I will stop at nothing to catch you, fight if need be! But I cannot ou, and if you do not choose me, I will do the honourable thing and accept it. For I do not take what others have within their grasp.

You guys are mature, skilled, and dyone'd good role-players, so keep up with us, okay? I don't expect rabid activity -- it IS the school year. But c'mon. A post once or twice a week IS NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK, and if it is, you either need to slim down your chars or quit altogether. Harsh? Yeah. I'm tired of seeing no new posts when I go to see the boards. Don't rely on me to provide you with stimuli. Create some. You're a bunch of frikkin' KORATS, for Creators' sakes! Act it!
