    TO ALL PLAYERS ON NEW ISLE!!!

    I would like everyone that plays a char on New Isle to reply to this with the charactera you play. I am making a little active-check, as we really need one. I've seen WAY too many riders on the riders board that have NEVER played. So, if you own any number of char, post a reply to this with their names, and status. (i.e. Weyrling, Rider, Dolphineer, Weyrhandler, Weyrfolk)
    Please? I'd just love to see NI active again, and I think this can be a 'first step'-- finding out who still exists. I'll have this go on until... let's say the end of November. For now. I'll consult people like Pup and Kain and maybe tweak the time.

    ...but I'm not feeling too good. I've been over-stressed lately, especially after I got back around the same time NS did, and he bombarded me with questions (no offense, NS)... and... I'm in 9th grade classes in the 8th grade, which is constant stress... I just got out of an orchestra competition... I'm really feeling miserble, though it's probably just I'm getting real mood-swingy lately. So... ya. I might not be the most active person on the black...

    Thought I should say this now before my posts all go down the drain. I love my char, and I will keep them, but I may not be as active, especially since I'm besically the one hosting an active check and the flgiht master, and... I'm not sure I'll be too keen to RP as much. I will post every onc in a while, just not as constantly.

    Wish me luck going through this.

    I wasn't able to access New Isle Weyr except through school, because for some reason my family's network HATES Topcities, or Topcities hates it, or something. *growls* I suspect the firewalls, since I know it wasn't the browsers, I tried on all four. Anyway, I had to spend half an hour at a friend's house anyway, so I pulled up NIW, Geocities (which my school blocks), and made a board list on one of my webpages. *happy grin* Now I can actually POST! Take that, Topcities! *grabs her dragonriders by the hair and drags them off to post, starting with her weyrling in the Perches*

    Oh, Pup or Deystar or whichever is the owner now (is it both? I'm confused...), do we have a Headwoman? If not, would you mind if I joined one? I have an ex-Lady Holder who obviously can't resume her old position, but I love playing her, and this is the only Pern game I'm at right now. And are we going to have watchwhers at any point? Deystar mentioned it in the active check post....

    If I started another RPG, who'd join it? Maybe a redoing of Thes Ladrin, or even (deities forbid!) Dragon's Gale? Or maybe, a 'pack' RPG like the K, A, and DRPG's are/were. 'Cept with dragons. I find that rather nifty.

    It would open after NaNoWriMo stops, which means in December. If I get, oh, five people maybe I'll start on it.

    I'm leaning towards the dragon-pack idea. I like that.

    Oh, wasn’t this fun?

    Salty looked around, slightly put out by all the people here. This Weyr was huge! Well, it was when he compared it to his home Hold. The dining hall alone was more vast than he could comprehend comfortably. This would take a bit of getting used to.

    But, he reasoned, if everything was the same, would it be enjoyable, or just boring? And Salty couldn’t stand boredom. When he had been given the chance to come here, he had jumped at it – his mother refused to come, though. Shame. He’d have liked her here. She’d have certainly enjoyed having such a huge kitchen to make food in.

    The lanky boy moved further into the huge cave of a room, scanning the tables for a sight of anybody who looked remotely friendly. Lessee, now…riders and kid…more riders…still more riders…I sense a theme here...hmm…
    He would really have to find someone to talk to in this cavernous place. Why did things have to be so big?Stupid question really. Dragons were big. Thus, their home had to be big. See, there is logic!

    He would really have to stop having conversations with himself. It couldn’t be a healthy habit, really it couldn’t. I need to find a place to sit down… He felt too tall to be here. Everyone else was sitting at a table.

    Stop being so self-conscious, you nit! He imagined his sister saying, and he shrugged his shoulders to loosen them. It had been cold getting here! He would need to get used to between. Oh joy. More things to become accustomed to.

    He leaned against a wall, resting his head against the cool stone, hoping to maybe blend in. Or be noticed by someone who would talk to him.

    His first day in a Weyr. This was going well…

    Okay, I got a couple of rules to slap on to New Isle.

    Regarding Flit flights.

    Golds will clutch no more than twenty, and NOT EVERY FREAKIN' GOLD WILL HAVE A GOLD EGG!!!! It is getting out of hand. Only every fifth gold to lay will have a queen egg. And that only if the player wants it.
    Greens will clutch more often than the golds, but the clutches will not usually hatch. Tunnelsnakes will get them, or the green forgets where they are, and they get attacked by Wherries.

    Flights will occur one every couple of weeks. If you are not done within that time period, please wrap it up soon. No golds will fly while another gold is flying. This is considered dangerous, and there wil most likely end in a fight.

    As for Impressions of flits. You must do at least a six line post for the player to even consider letting you have one. And it must be of good quality. The clutching queen will very reluctantly offer you an egg. You must take what ever size she gives you, or she will get upset.

    and my final note on this is NO BRIBERY!!!!!!! Grasscat, you know what I mean. No swaps of food for eggs, or the hand of Pup shall come crashing down on you, often holding some sharp pointy object that can draw blood. You may offer food if you say that this is not a bribe.

    Dragon flights. They are wonderful, and I would like to have them often. But, you know, I need your help people! I cannot muster enough males for the flights by myself. I keep a few at hand, and two female riders for my own use. It is all up to you people! Deystar, my unoffficial Flightmaster is itching to send out dragons for flights. But I need you to come to them!

    Who wants a Gather? Any one wishing to be on a Gather comitee will kindly E-mail me what they would like to organize.

    And, please, we have a Dolphin Hall formed. Can we get a Master Healer somewhere? Or a Journeyman/woman Harper?

    Can Grenith fly? We need a bit of activity. If anyone will actually PUT their dragon in the flight. G'rein is male, so I might end up waiting about a month, and then give up.

    I have also made the rather unsettling discovery that I can now write out the whole of Les Miserables, the whole of the first episode of Red Dwarf, and quite a bit of The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy in any given book at school. That'll teach my teacher to be away for six weeks - I really should have written that on a loose sheet...
    Has anyone listened to the new series of The Hitchiker's Guide?
    Does anyone here acutally know what that is except for me, and (I think) Kain?

    She smiled at the small green. [She's wonderful. Take good care of her, or Nazereth will kill you.] She smiled to show it was a joke. After hearing the second part of the question, she sighed. [I don't really know... I'd love to ride a dragon, but... I'm just not sure of some things. Like a Weyrmate. What if my dragon flies and I get a Weyrmate I don't know?] she sighed again, and looked down. She wished Matt could try and be a rider with her. If it was about the name, he could always be M'att, right? But, if he didn't want a dragon, she couldn't make him stand at the sands...
    And, she didn't need him, did she? She hadn't needed anyone before...

I mean, no offense to Kitty-san, but D'tir didn't notice when my baby, Physays, who'd fallen off her green before, had a mental breakdown, and Tsuga and L'van had to help heal her. Then, L'van took her to the barracks. Not to be mean or anything, and please don't take offense, but I think D'tir should've been there to at least cunsult.     Yes, I am leaving very early tomorrow morning for the airport to go to Florida for a week, woot! Partly to celebrate my 18th birthday, partly to celebrate mom's 46th birthday, but mostly just 'cause we won this vacation and we needed to use it 'fore it expired. ^_^ S'anyway... yeah. I'll be in Florida for a week, and I won't be around here, sorry to say. I might have internet access, but this being vacation, I might not be posting at Etreus, yanno? ~_^

    Recently, all my writing has been dropping in quality, and I haven't been enjoying it as much, not to mention that my access to computers is now sporadic at best. I can't maintain all of my Etrusian characters anymore, and as much as I'm loath to do so, I'm putting Neko Yukisen and Mayha Ti'Keifer Lo'Iamar up for grabs. If you're intrested in either of them, e-mail me and we can talk about them, and eventually, if you're a good person, you can play them.

    Mayha has never posted, so there's not much concern about her, but Neko-chan has close family-ish ties and a very specific personality, not to mention a Vae. She'd be quite a challenge to anyone, and even I, after over a year of her problems, maniac-depression, and ect in stories, have troubles writing her. If you're really not up to the challenge, please don't bother e-mailing me about her.

    And Kain-san? Sorry about lack of reply to your last e-mail-- this is the first time I've gotten more than ten minutes of time on a internet-linked computer in over a week.

    ((Kitty and I are back! And we had a lurvely time. XD.))

    Okay guys, no one's posted in KRPG for a few months now (yes, myself included). I, as webmistress, have a job and college coming up within a matter of weeks. I don't have so much free time anymore, and I'm not going to use it on a game that no one plays. I'm not accusing anyone--I'm an equal part, if not a larger one, of KRPG's decline after two years of being open--but I need your opinions. Are you willing to really start getting into it again, helping the plot, posting a lot (even if you just have one or two chars), and et cetera? If not, that's okay. I don't blame anyone--I mean, Korats are *my* babies, and I don't really expect anyone else to love 'em as much as I do. ~_^; But if I can't get most of you to promise you'll be good and active from now on, I'm going to close KRPG. That's pretty much the long and the short of it.

    Summary? If you guys are willing to throw some heart into KRPG, I'll match you post for post and plot for plot. If not, that's okay--I understand--and KRPG will be closed. Oh, and if you guys have any suggestions to make it a better game more worth keeping around (in the eyes of player and owner alike), share 'em!

    Recently, my brother and I were discussing my Etreus charries, Oni and Seph, and how they feel about Phamiile (I think that's right...) and Takeo.
    We came to the conclusion that Oni has a Mokuba complex (My brother is the greatest! I will obsess!) and Seph has a Seto complex (I deny the truth, even as it smacks me with rabid oversized trout! HA!).
    Hope someone out there finds this even a fraction as amusing as we did! Ja ne!

    This game is a wonderful game. You can see the rules on another page.
    But some things aren’t mentioned, and if you do these wrong Pup will shout at you. Not a fun experience. So I, the wonderful Grasscat, have come up with this page, so you don’t get shouted at by Pup.

    Fire lizards (Also called flits, flitters, flitterbies, ‘lizards)
    A common mistake is one that concerns fire lizards. I have included slang names above because, when I came here, I had no idea what a flit was. Aren’t I wonderful? Now, one matter of concern is intelligence. This is a matter of grave concern, since everyone seems to have a different idea of it.
    In the books, flits say nothing, just communicate emotions through eye colour and emotional bond. But that’s boring, so a few words are fine. Images are ideal, better than words.
    Let us say that a flit sees a dragon. What does he say? NOT Look at that dragon! My, but it’s big!
    Instead, he says: Big dragon! Look! Or something like that.
    He would preferably use an image (i.e. He would send his human a picture of what looks like an enormous dragon). But sentences do not enter the equation at all.
    If you’ve read these, please place the phrase “Go me!” in your joining post.
    It already says, in the rules, not to join illegal flits and dragons. Don’t. You wouldn’t believe how many people suddenly have flits and dragons on joining. You want a dragon? Wait to Impress, or adopt a character from the Lost Souls Board.
    Fire lizards are not owned. Nope. Nada. Uh-uh. They are Impressed, my friends. Impressed.

    Dragon hide
    The dragons at this game are Pernese dragons, and they do NOT have scales. NO. No scales. Instead, they have hide. Get it? Like skin, and just as sensitive, but maybe a little thicker.
    They have to be oiled so that it doesn’t crack.
    But there are no scales here. If a post contains a dragon with scales, it is wrong.
    Is that clear?
    Good.

    I realise that some of you were trying to get to ARPG from the link at the top of this board, but that's another complication, something which ultimately brought ARPG's demise.

    Topcities deleted my arpg account, along with all the pages and links to the boards. I might have tried to kept ARPG going but now I have nothing to keep going with.

    So... yeah. I apologize. And to keep y'all at bay... I offer a bribe. Those of you that wish to see my head on their dinnerplate I offer a picture of anything you wish... preferably something I'm familiar with, such as things on Anyana/Earth... and if it's something that you would find on neither of those, a reference pic is greatly needed. ^_^

And I can be active, when my computer isn't being EVIL.... *smacks it* Anyway, we think we've got rid of the virus, and for all I know that was what was making Voy so buggy for me, since it's apparently been on my hard drive for quite a while. Explains certain things rather tidily, actually. Also, if you want my help for anything, or want me to drag El (the Weyrwoman's player) back here, just tell me... though I can't make promises on the second. She keeps SAYING she'll show up, and then our plots fizzle out.

    As many of you know, I go to Maine every summer no matter what. And today is the day that I make my leave! :triumphant look: Well, with all the deadness and no-activitiness going on, that's a bad thing. There's like no one left. X_x. Anyway, my characters in Etreus - Cerberus, the Master, Phamiile, Kyrusk, and Puella - will all be inactive, and my KRPG charries - Deyt, Byha, Bhylek, and Elygan - are inactive, too.     Welcome to Ceryn, stranger. Ceryn must be an odd world to come to for the first time. I bet you're used to magic, soul-bonds, and dragons. Well, Ceryn has magic. But the magic isn't in the people - it's in the stones and animals. The magic stones we call clochs, and they contain the fate of this world. We do have dragons - at least, some people claim to have seen dragons. We have soul-bonds, anyway. Here, humans can bond to an asaran, but you'll find out more about the asaran later. All in all, Ceryn isn't such a bad world to live in.

    What you really need to know, though, is that Ceryn is in turmoil. The king was assassinated not long ago, and now the throne is empty. We, the people of Shahrokh, suspect that it was Eshsor and their ruler, the Duke, who had him killed. But in the chaos of the murder, the cloch was lost. The prophecy states that only those with Chenerisar around their necks will be able to keep Ceryn out of turmoil. Now, tensions toward a civil war are building, but without proof that Eshsor killed the king, no war has been declared. Both cities are trying to gather the lost clochs, to have the advantage in case a war is declared. But if Chenerisar is found, that person is king, no matter who it is. And peace will once again return to Ceryn.

    I, Kitty, after this Sunday the 20th of June, shall be traveling hither and yond to the great Falls of Niagra, and the renowned province Ithaca, New York.     Okay, I'll have to stir up some excitement.

    Pup rides out into the center of her training field. In one hand, she carries Unicorn, her pearl-handled razor sharp sword. In the other, she carried a kestrel. Not just any kestrel either. Kain's own, special kestrel. She has the kestrel jessed, and hooded, and is ready to fight to the death anyone who tries to steal her prize.
    She is mounted on the winged tigress called 'Keladry'. Her lioness was busy helping her twin, and Pup was ready.

    Rules of the Battle:

    Feel free to use the Macarena, the paralyzer, and various forms of the Flaming Bronzes I've provided. Use your own birds of prey, fight me, or use stealth.
