Also, about the blue-rider/green-rider lack in McCaffery's writing.. It can be annoying sometimes, I certainly agree, but I think she might do it to emphasize that in Pern's reality, blue and green riders really are considered of a 'lower rank' then bronzes, golds and browns. It's like writing about a Plebe in the Naval Academy, versus a Captain? *navy-brat-ness shines through*

So yesh, I agree with you, I'd love to see more blue/green rider writings but I think there likely is reasoning behind it.
