Subject: Singing Stars and Wandering Spirits

A shadow looks, and sees... what?
Stars, stars.. stars and galaxies.
A mass of space, left behind,
In a place he once dwelled.

Changing, twisting hearts;
Two, becoming one.
Multi-faceted, bipolar, baffling;
Such a strange child.

And the stars sing....

Why return, when you have what you do?
Why return, when there's nothing for you?
Let the shadows of self consume you.
Let the ghosts in your mind escape.

Dreams are dreams,
Some never changing.
Quit dreaming of space-
It isn't your world.

There was once a spirit. This spirit's heart had drifted from its land of salvation quite a long time ago. One day, it returned to that place- and watched. Watched, and thought... Then walked away, shaking its head, a faint smile upon its pale blue lips. True, that place held so many memories. The spirit had found love there. It had found its heart there. Its mind had split and reformed. But, the time had come to move on. And so this now-genderless spirit wondered... Would it ever truly leave....?

The answer, of course, is no.
