.Owen said nothing as his gaze instinctively trekked 'cross the nasty bruise beginnin' to form upon Erica's defined cheek-bone. What the hell had happened? Fuck, WHAT THE HELL HAD HAPPENED? "I love that book... I just, uh, forget it's title, is all..." Time to practice the polite approach that he had been taught a young boy. His head dipped in a curt nod t'wards the elderly soul who lay 'pon the bed, "The Name's Owen McAllistor, Sir. It's nice to meet you both, Mr. Moore, Mrs. Moore." He took to guessing that the man was Erica's 'oh-so-wonderfully-talked-about' Father, and the woman was most-obviously her Mother... Joy. In an attempt at an explanation, Owen stated everything but the fact that Erica and him were together, and all of that stuff. "Yes, I'm Erica's friend, Owen. We met at the stable a few weeks ago... My family's owned horses since I was little... But, I've never appreciated them, 'cause, I've been frightened of them 'since I was a kid. Erica was trying to teach me how to be around them without bailing." Betcha Erica didn't know some of that! Yeah, he had always grown up with Horses for his parents great buggy-type-of-wagon-thing... But he'd always disliked the beasts, and thought that they were out to kick him, or nip him -- or both. His expression didn't depict whatever emotion was going through him, because there were too many. Anger, pity, and nervousness, among other emotions, were running thickly through his veins.
