Matsu's white form leans forward until her chin is nearly touching the ground, then as fluidly, abandons the human expression and returns to her high-chinned pose, looking precisely like a guardian statue outside Inari's temple. A few of the collectibles gasps, one voice high in the air(if he looks, there is a mechanical sparrow in a cage near the ceiling) whispers "she never does that for us..." in an almost jealous manner.

"Oh no, there's no getting out of here. The house is far too powerful."

"Yes, certainly, you'll have to abandon hope. The sooner the better, Baron- if he's beaten you, you do not have the strength to escape."

There are similar murmurs, but the keen eye of the Baron sees neither Matsu nor Sherwood react. In fact, Sherwood is looking up at Ikari, considering him. The brilliant mind of the little mouse is evident in his expression. After a moment, he speaks.

"Only Meimei is able to move about the house."

A few of the collectibles give Sherwood a hateful look, as if that was a secret they'd kept from others at some point. However, Sherwood does not seem to care, nor does Matsu for that matter. And that causes everyone else to fall silent.

The fox's pale eyes look up at him. "I will help you." She seems to understand the code of never asking anything for one's self, and wastes little time relieving that polite tension. Then she looks away, searching the room. The large door is obscured by cages and miscellanea, some of which seem to be creatures unto themselves. She slips between the bars of Ikari's cage and drifts between the others, looking around a bit.
