I know this sounds strange, but I kinda like seeing John lose his temper now and again. I think this makes his character seem more human. If he was soft and gentle all of the time he would be more like Mr. Rogers than a hard working southern man. In a way John Walton kind of reminds me of John Wayne. I don't mean looks! But sort of the personality of a rugged man who can be soft hearted down deep, but is man enough to not take junk from nobody! Personally, I'd like to see John hall off and hit a few scoundrels right in the mouth! (I think he got that from his mother!HA!)
