Subject: Surprise

Hello Everyone....!
Has anyone noticed that as the Seasons progress, John Walton, (Ralph Waite) develops more of a temper. I am always surprised when I see him react this way.... last night I watched an episode (Ben leaves home and goes to work for the Murdocks) where he was yelling at Mary Ellen and Olivia, to get dinner on the table. Just expressing my surprise, it just always seems so uncharacteristic.
Are you surprised at something an actor does in an episode that seems out of character?
