In my small town, I had party line phones until 1984, my oldest son was 2 when we finally got a private line, now my other 2 sons when I talk about it say WHAT are you taling about, you mean you would pick up the phone to call someone and there would already be someone talking and you couldnt use the phone when you wanted, ah youth, lol
