Subject: Top 15 Walton's Moments

I have been wanting to post this for years. The Waltons had some incredible moments and scenes in its 9 season run. I have compiled what I believe are the top 15 Walton's moments. These are specific scenes that have really spoken to me. I tend to be drawn to the emotional scene. I am sure that I have left some good ones out but here is my list of favorites. Feel free to post any that I might have missed.

15. Martha Corinne taking one last look at her house after she is forced to leave in "The Conflict"
14. Grandpa singing "Just as I am" after a long pause and everyone coming up to greet Rev. Fordwick in "The Sinner"
13. Grandpa's amazing visit from the man whom he saved during the Spanish American War. This friend gives Zeb back the bandana that Zeb used to cover his wound with in "The Fox".
12. Mary Ellen hearing John read the letter that Curt had written to John Curtis in the event of his death. Curt was killed in Pearl Harbor in "The Day of Imfamy".
11. John allowing Jason to have a part time job in "The Choice" when Jason wants to attend music school and John's line, "Then you will just try to try somewhere else".
10. Olivia rising up out of bed after she has been stricken with polio to go to Elizabeth when she had a bad dream in "The Easter Story".
9. Grandma and Grandpa dancing around the stained glass window that grandpa installed in the bedroom when the old house was destroyed that grandma loved so much.
8. Jason playing the recorder that Seth made him before he was stricken with Leukemia in "The Gift"
7. The entire cast paying tribute to Will Geer in "The Empty Nest" at a gravesite on the mountain.
6. Jim Bob getting Elizabeth to walk again after her near fatal accident in "The Ordeal".
5. Ellen Corby's amazing performance in "Gradma Comes Home" when she tells Olivia that nodody needs her anymore. That she really did have a stroke in real life and the fact that this was Will Geer's last performance makes this episode almost too much to watch.
4. Josh giving his incredible trumpet performance in "The Festival" and crying when he gets a standing ovation. This moment is just remarkable and symbolizes the slow realization of the times that blacks and whites need to come together.
3. John and John-Boy's amazing talk at the cliff when John Boy is mad at God for "not keeping up with his end of the bargain" in "The Easter Story". This 2-3 minute interaction is one of the best moments in the series.
2. John embracing Erin in the wind blown meadow as he reads the letter that G.W. wrote to her shortly before his death in "The First Casualty".
1. Jim-Bob coming in the house and hugging his mother when he realizes that he "is especially dear to his mother" since his twin brother died at birth. This is my all time favorite scence from the entire series.
