How did you happen to live with the Amish for a week?

My son-in-law and his family are very close with some of the Amish here in central Wisconsin. He and my daughter are taking some of the Amish practices to heart. They burn wood, cook on a wood stove, ride horses, raise chickens, and home school. It is there hope one day to get off of the electric grid and live by solar power only.
