But you where only imagining it so you spotted nothing. Easy one that. The first duty of a seaman after signing on is not to look up your lifeboat and fire drill stations. Only when all the crew is signed on is the list of lifeboat and fire drill stations filled out. So not first duty,first duty is to report to the bosun.
