They spent "The Longest Day" walking to "The Bridge Over The River Kwai" where they met "Patton". He took them to "Midway" via "The Bridge at Remagen". After crossing it they caught "Von Ryans' Express" to "Dunkirk" and they hid in "The Wooden Horse" till dark. When they came out "Kellys' Heroes" saw them and took them to meet "The Dirty Dozen" and "The Dam Busters". After an "Ice Cold in Alex" they asked "The Heroes of Telemark" for a lift to get home in time for "The Battle of Britain". My son made this up and thought you might like it. How did it go? recall one in Durban and the plan was for the officers to serve the crew Christmas dinner at about 1900. Good idea, but the skipper forgot that most of the officers would spend the day celebrating. Dinner was served, using the cooks, the bosun and about four officers who had either been on duty or who were teatotal.
