WITH APOLOGIES FOR GEOGRAPHICAL ERRORS
--------------------------------------

Two men made the "Great Escape" from "Colditz".
They spent "The Longest Day" walking to "The Bridge Over The River Kwai" where they met "Patton".
He took them to "Midway" via "The Bridge at Remagen".
After crossing it they caught "Von Ryans' Express" to "Dunkirk" and they hid in "The Wooden Horse" till dark.
When they came out "Kellys' Heroes" saw them and took them to meet "The Dirty Dozen" and "The Dam Busters".
After an "Ice Cold in Alex" they asked "The Heroes of Telemark" for a lift to get home in time for "The Battle of Britain".

My son made this up and thought you might like it.

Hi all.
I have refrained from being on here because I caused problems for Brian and most of you.
I'll be back in the New Year by which time I hope all will be forgiven and forgotten.
My very best wishes to all of you and I hope Christmas will be good and the New Year brings a new beginning for all of us.
Look after yourselves.

I've no wish to put a spanner in the works of this happy (hopefully) time of year but could I ask that we remember little Maddie and hope that she may yet be found safe and well.
And to many people who are going through sad times especially my thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those lost on the Clyde as well.
In spite of that God Bless Us Everyone.
Happy days to all of you.

Good afternoon.
Has anyone noticed just how much space has been taken up with just that one word "poof"?
I'm new on here-is it always like this" ?
The header here says "anecdotes,stories-keep 'em short please".
Anyone read that?

Hi there.
Apart from Brian Willoughby and myself did anyone else see this lovely ship pass through the Panama Canal on the webcam last night?
I spotted it coming then went on its' own webcam to get the view from the ships' bridge.
This web cam is great and I would love to know if the Suez Canal also has a web cam or would that cause wars?

Gentlemen I need your help, what I need is the words of some of the songs, sch as :-
The sinking of the Titanic "there was many a home that was left all alone when the great ship Titanic went down ....
The battle of the river plate "Then came the Norfolk the Sufolk the Dorchester too ......
The sinking of the Bismark (Silent Night) "these are the boys who took the sea for their shroud sleep in heavenly pece .....
There are a lot more , and I would like to hear from anyone who is willing to participate,nd give the world the life we knew, if only in music.

Hello to you.
I -like Patricia- have recently found the Panana Canal webcam and have really enjoyed it.
One question I have is this and I expect it sounds really stupid.
Do the ships go through at night?
I should imagine they do otherwise there would be one heck of a traffic jam!!!

Brian-I've become an anorak.
Have been on the web cam for the Panama Canal and have loved watching the ships come and go.
I could get addicted but when would the housework get done?
Hardly managed my liver, bacon, mash and onions tonight as I was so fascinated.

Hope you won't mind me posting this joke.

2 men working in a sewer when one says 2 the other-"Every lump of s**t that comes along here I know where it came from".
The other chap says "Go on then -prove it".
They wait a while and a piece floats by.
"See that-it belongs to old Mr.Smith at No.22".
After about an hour another piece floats by.
"That one belongs to Mrs. Jones at No.54".
Another few minutes go by and sure enough along comes another piece with a flag on it.
"That's my wifes" he says.
The other chap is says "how on earth do you know that?"
"Easy" he says - "It's got my sandwiches tied to it"

Hope you appreciated that and that it wasn't too rude!!

Greetings to you all.
On the General Forum there has been a complaint against myself & Vernon for degenerating that site. So I am posting on the correct site which is what I have been doing recently.
OK folks-I've been a bad, bad girl having abused the privelege of posting in various ways.
I have apologised and thought I had been accepted.
It seems now that I haven't and it now means that you have seen the back of me.
Despite that posting on the General Forum I still do have respect for you all and wish that your lives will be full & happy, that Christmas brings you what you want and that you can now get back to a decent, clean, respectable site.
Finally-to Brian-you've got a hard job running this site and my SINCERE apologies mostly go to you as I've been a right pain in the backside!!
Happy Christmas & New Year to you all.

Gentlemen-and ladies of course-and especially Brian.
I am VERY sorry for all the c++p I have spouted on here and accept the abuse that has been given back to me.
This is from the heart and I can assure you that IF I post again it will be jokes or sensible stories.
PLEASE try and forgive me although I know it will be hard.

Good Morning.
How are we all today?
Things seem to have quietened down-that's all Brians' doing as he's put the rubber stamp on a certain person.
So good for you Brian-keep the prats at bay.
Maybe now we can all start laughing again.

How many of you had a Christmas away from home either in a foreign port or on the open sea. How did it go? recall one in Durban and the plan was for the officers to serve the crew Christmas dinner at about 1900. Good idea, but the skipper forgot that most of the officers would spend the day celebrating. Dinner was served, using the cooks, the bosun and about four officers who had either been on duty or who were teatotal. The skipper was not amused. happy daze john in oz
