Date Posted: Saturday, January 05, 02:26:40pm In reply to: Gus 's message, "Windy My Arse" on Thursday, January 03, 08:13:50pm In case anyone wonders - most of the new ferries have wireless internet facilities. Back home and out with the dog (4 legged) this morning and looking out over the Forth estuary I watched a tanker maybe 80,000 ton drop the hook instead of venturing out. The wind has eased but the swell is massive. A wee coaster went out and three times she has tried and then turned back - she was still trying to get out when I made my way home. My question - are skippers pressurised into sailing, is it a case of sail or sacked? [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
