"stop" he said hoarsely, a pang of fury in his voice. he walked silently across the floorboards to the predator, glancing at Amar, but then to the face. it was a girl, around his age. not corinne...what was she doing here? you could tell by her presence, though, that she was fatigued. a kid like that would be welcomed..."who are you?"
