Had a great time last night. Once again, The Big Dogs brought down the house. The stands were packed with race fans. When the Big Dogs came up to run, it looked like they were going to knock the fence over on the pitside. Awesome show guy's.
There were a few glitches here and there. Like, some of the challengers did not make the show. And that's cool, I know problems come up and certain things just can't be helped. Even so, we still had a good time and we had some killer match races. It took a bit of scrambling, but we managed to get just about everyone a match race.
First up, the team of S & P Racing, consisting of Salinas and Perez. Sylvester was on rails last night and made an impressive 4.85 @ 150mph hit. Doing the math, that's a 7.61 to the 1/4 mile. Roy said Sylvester ripped out a 1.16 60ft and that is the best 60ft he has ever seen out of this car. This was even better than their hits in San Antonio. That's right, our little track has some bite!!!...Well, too bad SPS Racing didn't make the show. I am sure it would have been an awesome race. You know, we had a backup for this, but Ruben Ybarra in the Bounty Hunter blew a tire on a test pass. So Sylvester had to make a hit all alone.....

Next up is the BIG DOG himself. You love him, the dudes in the other lane hate him, CHARLIE "JOE DIRT" Deleon!!!...Man, what an awesome race he had with Anthony Rios, driving the Flaming Cheeto. Anthony is an excellent driver and he showed that by putting a serious light on Charlie. But that was not enough. Charlie came around the big Chevy for the win...Congrats!!!...FYI!!..A challenge for the #1 Spot has already been made. Stay tuned for an update....

This next race was another awesome battle. Henry "The Undertaker" Thomae dug a hole and buried the Thunder Chicken Nova in it. Henry said The Chicken was right next to him all the way down the 1/4 mile. That is, until Henry hit the "OH SHIT" Button...LOL! That's Henry's secret weapon. He told me it's the last defense against any opponent who thinks he can take The Red Rocket Chevelle down. I wonder if Henry is holding up a #1 for a reason? Like, maybe coming after Charlie?....

Next up is the team of Hernandez Racing. You know, nothing impresses me more than to see a dude unload his car, pull up to the line and take care of business. No test hits, no tuning, no messing around. Like Henry Thomae, Faustino Hernandez showed up, strapped in and said, Let's Do This!...He had a three way race with Ray Espericueta for the #3 Spot. Winner would go on to race Juan Penaflor for it. After a hard fought fight with The Problem Child Nova, Faustino came back and laid waste to Juan's Vitamin C Stang. I can see a re-challenge coming already.

Next up is "The Most Dangerous Man" in dragracing! Why do we call Bridgi that? Well, because when I asked him what lane he wanted for his match race against Danny Ybarra's King Kong S-10? He said, "both of them!" I asked, what? He said, "yeah, you tell Jason he can have what ever lane I'm not on...haha....This looked like it was going to be another killer race, except the S-10 lunched it's tranmission at the hit. So Bridgi took it easy. Not wanting to show what "El Gallito" Trans Am can really do...

Our next winner of the night was the HPA-Vette from 1320 Performance. I am sorry, I didn't get the drivers name, but thanks a bunch for showing others that it does not take an 8 second car to compete on Texasdragracing.com..Everyone and anyone can challenge. The Vette is a 12 second performer and they are willing to step up the game if need be. Congrats on your win.

The last match race was supposed to be between Tony Torres and Carlos with the Stang Killer Camaro. But the Camaro did not show. We still lined up Tony with a random Ford Lightning. Which Tony quickly showed his lights to. For his efforts, Tony still earned a Match Race trophy. That is how we roll here at Texasdragracing.com.

Thanks a bunch to all of you. Without the racers, the fans and the sponsors, we wouldn't be able to do what we do. We look forward to our upcoming challenges and as always, stay tuned to Texasdragracing.com for the best headsup action. We have more pics and of course, the video's. You won't want to miss those.
All right, before we go to the Cruise In at Texas Tops, here are the pics of the winners from last nights 9.90 Super Gas race. Once again, Sergio Paez made it to the final and the win. Right behind him in 2nd place was Tony Rocio. These guy's put on a good side by side show and we will have their video up as well later today....
