So we have been thinking, if people won't spot race and everyone wants to go slow. Why not slow it down even more??? So we came up with the 11.80 Index Class - Unlike the 6.80 class, this is a full 1/4 mile class which most racers and fans would rather be doing. The class is not so fast that you need a cage, but it's fast enough for just about anybody to join in on. Like the 6.80 class there will be a payout based on Sponsor Support and Entry Money - Keeping it on a budget we figure racers pay $25 to enter the race - This is above the $20 you pay to race - So if we get say 20 cars - that's $500 dollars which can be split 80/20 for 1st and 2nd - We would do this once a month on a Friday night, but NOT on the same night as the 6.80 class in case any of those cars want to slow down even more and join the 11.80 race. What do you dudes think? Just throwing it out there we already have 10 cars that would participate. All we need is 10 more to make this a good race....Post up if you dudes want to do this. Oh yeah, rules? We don't need no rules...LOL!....

- The spirit of the 11.80 class is more towards street type cars. So I think holding off on boxes (electronic throttle stops) - mechanical throttle stops and such would be best. - Headsup racing is dead in the RGV. It's all about Index racing now. All those years TDR spent getting everyone to go faster down the drain. It was because of TDR that Julio added concrete to the track. We were running 8's on a TRUE 10.5 tire not that W or S shit. And now? All we have is slow racing...lol. - heres a thought why not make it heads up racing with time limits and make them like tournaments for example have a class for the stock guys where the fastest you can go is 12.5 intermediate class would be from 12.49-11.50 and advanced from 11.49-10.5 and ofcourse for the extremely fast guys 10.49- whatever ofcourse its just a thought -- nightmare2012, 20:37:38 10/09/13 Wed

- TDR Fans are way too smart. You got me dude, this is all about us racing our cars because we can't run faster than 11.80...lol. Busted!!!. This deal is for anyone who wants a chance at winning some cash but can't run in the 6.80 race. It's a good deal really. - No way...lol We need firm commitments before I go to Bob with anything. I'm thinking of maybe throwing a trial run next Friday just to see how many cars show up. And entry will be something like $20 for the race. Of course that's plus your $20 tech card to get into the track. Or maybe the track can make it a free race like truck night, import night and bike night. And just give a trophy to the winner?
