She was leaning towards her mate, all but resting against his strong side as she ran her own thumb over the lines of his palm, her eyes sliding shut for a long moment in pleasure at just the feel of his touch on her skin. When the platters started rattling, she opened her eyes and watched in amusement as the other woman scolded her child that wasn't even yet born. It struck then how far she had come towards dealing with things of the supernatural, since she hadn't even blinked at thought of a bairn having powers from within the womb. When Dane started to go on about researching her and her kind, she rolled her eyes, though it was a good natured manner. "I'm the walking science experiment, in case you didn't know." She piped in with a small smile to the tone of her voice as she looked over at her mate, sticking her tounge out at him teasingly. It was a little exasperating the way everyone talked about her like she might just suddenly blow up the universe or something. A low breath escaped her lips though she was smiling still and she continued to do so until the food was set out. Having not realized how hungry she really was, she was a bit suprised at the growl that resonated from her tummy, it made her blush a bit but she overcame her embarassment when Ash quickly assured her that all she herself did was eat most of the time. With a smile and a quick squeeze of Dane's hand, she let go of him so she could focus in on the soup and salad that had just been served to them. He couldn't help but notice the way that the couple seemed so much more affectionate than they had earlier and he decided that their little romp in the woods had been a good thing. Pleased with himself on having made the right decision to leave them be for a bit, he was in a good mood and laughed at Dane's comment about not being able to control the bairn. "Och, ye are tellin' me. Ye should see the destruction that wee lad has wrought upon my keep and the lad tis nay even born yet." He grinned, looking over at his own wife for a moment. "Of course, my wee lassie is much better behaved, aye, Linn?" He winked teasingly at her before he nodded his thanks to the serving girl and began to eat himself, after making sure all the lasses had been served of course and politely waiting for the Laird of the keep to begin his own meal.
